DNA Stellaris
#15 checking in. Just using stock tubes now to see how it sounds. For those interested in the amp, Donald received my deposit on Jul 16th. I got the amp Oct 1st. Looks like he was building others (#14?) but that was only a 2.5 month turnaround. To be fair his original assessment was ~4-5 months...- gsr108

DNA Stellaris
I've been lusting after a stellaris for years. Reached out to Donald a few weeks ago and found out the build time is now projected to be 4-5 months. Deposit placed and he thinks I'll get it in December. I had the Apex Teton in the past and loved the sound - comparisons of the two amps in this...- gsr108

Just brought the fourte unheard due to all the glowing reviews. Had a question - should I get a silver cable or copper cable for it? Some say the treble runs a little hot which concerns me.- gsr108

Pioneer's First Hi-End Headphones: SE-Master 1
Just received a used pair this past weekend. Initially was very hot/sibilant. Seems to have calmed down. Really enjoying the unique way the music is presented. I get why people describe them as speaker like. Tried them on a Apex Teton and schiit ragnorak (single ended) so far - prefer the Teton...- gsr108

The Apex Teton Review and Impressions Thread
The HE-1000s don't sound bad on the Teton. The biggest issue with them is the soundstage isn't as large as with the Eddie Current Studio or 445 but the tone, speed, and impact are pretty good.- gsr108

Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...
The Teton is probably a little smoother. The Studio may throw a larger soundstage and has stronger bass, especially sub bass. I tend to keep both for convenience. Though if I had to sell one, it'll probably be the Teton. I use the Studio with the HE1000's and for my speakers, so it ends up...- gsr108
