Gamma-2 (γ2) DAC Thread
I did try reflowing all the solder joints, although those ground pins have been making life difficult even with the iron turned up to 850F. Are there any other checks I might do? The fact that the y2 board is mated to the y1 seems to make some debug checks difficult.- dhp

So sadly I am having issues with my y2 build... the y1 side works perfectly and i can hear music just fine. When I mate with the y2 board, all the voltage checks are fine (5V pin reads out at around 4.85ish, which I think would be ok?) Initially when I set it all up, I was getting music out of...- dhp

Yeah I was using some SE530s. I tested this on some Grados and it was not as bad, although I can get my HD650s to listenable levels at 25%, which is still way too much volume considering I never want to drive 650s with this.- dhp

So I just built a SkeletonDAC and it's working to great success with 470uF Nichicon KWs as my output caps. I was planning on using earphones directly out of this DAC, but damn, it is really really really loud. I have to lower teh volume down to 1, and then halve the volume in foobar to get to...- dhp

What should the difference between the SR125 and 225 be?
It won't say 225i on the headphones, but it should have thicker cables and the driver housing chamber should protrude out.- dhp

Why portable amps are called as oxymoron?
