Thanks a lot for all these nice impressions!! Sounds like the NO is a pretty good deal! So NO, ZMF and AC are in the final 3

ZMF Blackwood VS Mrspeakers Aeon Flow Closed

Thanks for the measurements! I think that makes them not the perfect "additional" headphone. But in general I might keep them in mind and if only I could try them here in Germany somehow I might end up buying them at some point but like this it's too risky to just order them ... Plus there is...

ZMF Blackwood VS Mrspeakers Aeon Flow Closed

Thanks!!! I agree with the hd650 description because that's why I sold mine long ago. Sounds like I'll need the Blackwood at some point after all... I was afraid that would happen xD

Thanks! Is the Atticus closed as well?

ZMF Blackwood VS Mrspeakers Aeon Flow Closed

I'm mainly using a chord Hugo2 and a Colorfly C4. Budget I'd say around 1k as I only want them as a secondary pair of cans for mainly on my balcony ( hence also the closed nature I'm looking for)

Alright thx I'll see if I can test them maybe from Amazon or Thomann

ZMF Blackwood VS Mrspeakers Aeon Flow Closed

Thanks that's some awesome impressions. I forgot to add: I mainly listen to Pop, Rock and heavy Metal. And vocals + guitars are the things I am most focused on when listening Edit sounds like they would complement each other quite good!

@Rhamnetin you dont happen to have compared these to the mrsepakers by any chance? I would love to hear your opinion on these two vs

ZMF Blackwood VS Mrspeakers Aeon Flow Closed

Ive narrowed my search for a complementary closed headphone to the Focal clear down to these two as they supposedly sound similar to the LCD2 pre fazor and LCD2C sound signature and I very much would exactly like something like that ( the LCD XC didnt fit the bill unfortuantely ). I had some...

OK thanks I confuse the names of those always xD so they not recommended? Budget is preferably sub 500 but basically it's as much as it takes xD so +1 for the meze TX0 indeed a good idea! Hmmm warmer Side might be enough.. definitely will need to vchec them out Wow! That sounds awesome af...

I'm looking for some good closed back cans to use for relaxied listening and whilst on my balkony. Looking for something warm LCD2-, Fidelio-ish, but closed. Had the Audeze LCD XC for a while now but they are too expensive imo. Been hinking about Nighthawk, MEZE 99 C, MrSpeakers Aeon, Shure...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

I unfortunately can't change the cups because out of clear, 2c and xc I'm only going to keep one ( the rest is getting sent back after comparing them for almost one month now). Thanks then I'll order the night owl probably at some point at least to try it! Heard a lot of great stuff already...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

Ok thanks for the comparison! That sounds indeed like I need to look elsewhere ( especially as it's hard to try them out here in Germany). But maybe the Meze99 classic could be a candidate. On the other thing: youre right and generally speaking I would agree with you but the thing that made me...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

That's very interesting because I've been playing with the thought of getting the AFC later this year as some warm, relaxed closed cans but that sounds like they don't fit the bill. I also would really like to see what happens when you put XC Cups on the 2C :)

Yeah but it's always nice to have certainty ;) plus it might be interesting for others as well. So thanks again!

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

It really puts my mind at ease that you say you never heard of driver failure on clears, because I definitely want to keep one (tbf even if they would fail on me again xD ). And yeah 3 years warranty and no reports of failures on the 2c is great! The quality seems to me actually already improved...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

I think it's good that Audeze is improving reliability. I think a lot of brands these days are disappointing with driver failure. I think it's embarrassing that a focal clear fails on me after 3 weeks ( tbf it was a open package deal and maybe the issue was not Focals fault but the guy's who...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

I second that! Its always about what you have to compare it to. The 2C sounds not clean anymore after switching from a Focal Clear or XC but it as you said in its price range its the clear winner and it sounds clean as hell compared to some T1, HD700 and everything else I heard sub 1k.

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

quick question: what settings are you using on the windows device sound settings thingy? it goes up to 32 bit and god knows how many Hertz but does it make any sense to set more than 32 bit 44.1kHz? Or do these settings even matter when foobar uses asio for the hugo 2?

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

I know exactly what you mean. After getting used to the XC and clear almost everything sounds grany and veiled ( especially in direct comparison). So I see that whilst being cheap the Denon still would be a waste of possible Clear funds xD Plus nothing in the sub 1k area seems to beat the 2C (...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

Id recommend saving up for the clear then ;) but maybe give the Denon AH-D7200 a try. It's similar to the 2c sound signature and extremely low weight BUT it's not nearly as good as the 2c so don't even consider it if it's not sub 500$

@betula no it's no problem for me especially compared to the heavier XC.
