I’ll chime in on the 250 vs 600 ohm debate even though over time, its been beaten to death in this thread. I’ve owned a 250ohm Pro since 2013 and 2 pairs of 600 ohms Premiums (one got stolen not too long ago). Always thought they were indistinguishable apart from a bit more tightness in the bass...

Yes, checked both of those and they're fine. Checked with different cable, devices etc. I've had the unit for less than a month. I don't think the problem here is damage from the port but rather the internal USB decoder not working.

The R2R 11 pairs extremely well with my 600ohm DT880's. The warmer nature of the R2R takes the edge off the treble (ever so slightly) - makes them really sing. Bass is very well extended and controlled, overall sound is very clear and airy. I don't think you can go wrong with the pairing.

I think pairing them with a warm amp helps a lot with them especially in taking the edge off. I have an R2R 11 and it seems to pair very well with the Beyers.

Funnily enough DSD is working fine for me. I use Foobar mostly but I tried it with JRiver and it persisted. Also, the problem seems to have gone now. Absolutely no idea what fixed this. I know for a fact that its not player-associated problem.

I do find the M-100's to have more impact than rumble. That "slightly muffled thump" you're experiencing probably refers to the boost in the upper bass - which I find somewhat more pronounced than I'd like. However I never felt it lacked punch and it still does decently well at sub bass.
