CPU Usage and Audio Quality
Don't you have an external DAC? I would claim if you have an external DAC the interference would be minimal except if your PC is madly overworked. I've never personally felt that. I would think setting all your power management to 100% would be a waste of power. If you aren't using a DAC; I...- dezzadk

Total IEM newb: daily-driver bangers under $160-200? (you guessed it, with tons of bass...)
I found IKKO OH10 to have quite harsh treble. Its very "tsch-tsch"-like in the percussion Also yes, heavy..- dezzadk

Teach me something here :) What to go for when it comes to drivers in an IEM is there a video somewhere that explains how they work in symbiosis? Is EST something only available in the upper highend? What do you guys think of the CCA Hydro overall and its 2DD+8BA ? If its not all hype, then...- dezzadk

Not even a bad recommendation.. Even oratory1990 suggested me the Sony MDR-Z1R.. I can't lie, that warm Sony house sound is probably close to what I like..- dezzadk

Yeah I take everybody with a grain of salt because I've been disappointed too many times and there's too many people with weird tastes.. Thanks for the tips! I'm definetily not seeking something overly warm or dark, but I do not want to spear-pierce my ears with what trebleheads call "sparkly"...- dezzadk

Of course Dan's Audio Reviews also deems the Hype 4 a bit too bright/unnatural in the treble These statements is what scares me the most from investing in higher end gear a treble thats too sparkly, sibilant or unnaturally extended is worse for me than a slightly muted/distant treble...- dezzadk

I didn't find the bass particularly muddy but on some tracks that were warmly mixed I found the midbass bleeded into the mids and you had the tendencies to turn up the volume (unreasonably) high to compensate. Bass didn't have much depth and room compared to what I'm used to. It was definetily...- dezzadk

@Ceeluh7 thanks for the detailed explanation! Do you think this set is capable to compete with more expensive sets like say Yanyin Canon II or Aful Performer 8 from your reviews?- dezzadk

In your basshead settings 1100 and 1110 how do you feel the tuning scales with volume? Is there more emphasis on the treble and gets slightly too much then or does it stay controlled?- dezzadk

How does the tuning scale at higher volume? Is there more emphasis on the bright treble? I might be somewhat of a basshead, but I don't like excess bass that colors the music as most of my music is already very bassy. I saw a reviewer (Akros) on youtube that put the CCA Hydro's bass over Xenns...- dezzadk

I just saw the first reviews of CCA Hydro as well, seems like CCA raises the bar for budget IEMs again.. Like the dipswitches or not but some even go as far to say it has better bass than Xenns Mangird Top without being bloated- dezzadk

Very beautifully done review! Do you think the treble comes off colored on the D9200, or rather neutral as you expect it? I saw PassionForSound's review that seemed to dislike the treble, but idk his preference.- dezzadk

I've been looking at available reviews for the Pilgrim and the largest con for me would be the fact they describe it as too bright for some preferences (as I'm quite sensitive to that). Secondly the cable pentagon connector and the design. Looking at its graph I'm not sure how it comes off as...- dezzadk

This is what I think about the smaller hardware forums as well, its better than the big crowd like craiglist, so yeah I get the idea I actually signed up to 2FA just to be able to access classifieds. Thanks for the nice answer! I do agree that the Xenns Top seems like a good contestant in this mix and it only slightly blows the budget.. Which used markets are safe tho? I feel like amazon used market might be the only one that could guarantee some sort of security?- dezzadk

I've had a tough time with bass on IEMs. They don't come close to my Ultrasone Pro 900, I don't expect them either, but I am hot on the Nova for the price and the praise simply.. ScientificAudiophile, Sharur have both praised these and they seem to some of the only reviewers I tend to watch...- dezzadk

The treble is not too sharp/sibilant, this is not the issue.. The issue is that it makes bright/dry sounds sound too dry most of the time.. It becomes very shimmering on some tracks.. I've not heard treble this colored before.. The IKKO OH10 has a tssch sound to the hihats (that I would describe...- dezzadk

Now I've tried and reviewed ZiiGaat Cincotres I've felt a void inside me.. Its like I didn't really get what I was looking for.. The Cincotres does well with mostly warm/bassy music, but as soon as a bright lead, percussion comes in or you hear ambient with a lot of details it seems very peaky...- dezzadk
