Yeah. I don't think any eq would soften those attacks I'm hearing. It's probably just a matter of synergy. It's much better with my Isabellaes, for instance

I mainly pair it with UM Mest mk2. I don't think anyone ever called it bright ;-) With my se300ti, those iems offer a relaxing listening experience, with deep and lush sub-bass. I also had that with the 507. It's very different with the 707, much more incisive... I guess I'll get used to it. Or...

My zx707 is still in burn-in process (roughly 12 hours) and I find it overly bright. Will it get darker over time?

You're right. I should have wrote: from my own experience, including some with multi kilo bucks cables, the sound of the Singularity is altered with aftermarket cables. If you love the stock tuning as much as I do, the stock cable can't be beaten.
