I have been using a 1tb card with no issues indeed.

It was back in 2020 right when the Covid outbreak started.

They've done the full mod on my HD800 and since then I no longer worry about matching the Sennheisers with specific tube amps to make them sound the best. They sound glorious with solid state amps now, too. They've also hard-wired my Cardas Clear cable to the HD800. Highly recommended company...

Interesting you brought up win11 and thanks for the feedback. I have my win10 dialed up to the max. 22 processes are running along with 240 tasks during playback. It's as quiet as a church mouse. It took me some time and suffering to get there though. Not sure how much improvement I'd experience...

When the S model got introduced we got together at The Source AV to test and compare them to the original HD800. The Source AV had had TOTL Woo, Cavalli, etc. amps at their disposal. I remember the consensus was that if you don't have TOTL, preferably tube, amplification, you are better off with...

I would have hunted down a used pair of the original HD800 instead...they still show up second hand under $1k. driven by a quality tube amp they outperform the S model.
