HiBy R6 III (Gen 3) Android digital audio player, Dual ES9038Q2M, Class A / AB amplification switch, Snapdragon 665, Open Android 12 OS, DSD512 / PCM768
@Joe Bloggs hi can you tell me if the popping clicking sounds are normal for this player or is there a problem with mine? Also is the stutter when skipping some songs normal for the player? Like it will replay a split second of the song before it skips to next track. As I mentioned earlier...- cthomas

HiBy R6 III (Gen 3) Android digital audio player, Dual ES9038Q2M, Class A / AB amplification switch, Snapdragon 665, Open Android 12 OS, DSD512 / PCM768
@Joe Bloggs I was just playing with the settings in the Hiby app and turned on sample rate limiting. This seems to have stopped the crackling/popping. I then turned the same setting on in the system settings and turned it off on the Hiby app and tried playing some music but the problem returned...- cthomas

Thanks. I’ll try that tonight. Should I update the player after resetting? And just to clarify, should I be getting any clicking/cracking at all? Ive been reading some old posts and it seems some people are getting at least a slight clicking noise when skipping tracks and some aren’t getting...- cthomas

Ok thanks. Not sure if you saw my comment about the poweramp app I don’t think that’s normal as I couldn’t find any info about my specific problem. Just to mention the cracking sound when changing tracks is more emphasised when sample rate of the song changes, sometimes really bad when I get...- cthomas

Yes, MSEB and/or PEQ, but the problem also happens without any turned on. I noticed it improved by turning off battery saver, so now there’s no crack sound when turning the screen on/off but still getting it changing tracks, sometimes it gets quite loud much louder than the music volume. Also...- cthomas

I tried out poweramp app and it seems it allows me to scan through a single song unlike the Hiby player so I guess it’s just app dependent. I was having issues getting the app working properly though because when I skip songs it does some weird things… When I press next track it will repeat...- cthomas

Getting crackling when adjusting some settings like dark theme toggle, also sometimes turning the screen on and off I hear it soon after turning music off, occasionally occurs in the middle of some songs randomly. Apart from the crackling problem the player sounds really good tho, I’d like to...- cthomas

So far I’ve tried HD660s high gain and Hype 4 low. Getting it on both when changing tracks. Volume around 80 Also asking if it’s somehow possible to skip through a single track without the screen on?- cthomas

I also seem to be getting the crack/pop sound when skipping tracks. It’s quite loud sometimes, is there something I can do to fix this? Is it also normal to be getting very slight/quiet crackling when sliding the volume up/down?- cthomas

Thanks. Not sure why they made it this way seems confusing when trying to copy eq settings. I was just following oratory settings for the HD660 which on my ZX300 sounded amazing- cthomas

Also curious about the PEQ. It has 0-9 bands instead of 1-10. Do I use band 0 as 1 when eqing headphones or do I skip the 0 band?- cthomas

Hi I just got the R6 in yesterday. Having some issues but what’s really bothering me is that I can’t forward or reverse through a single track unless screen is on and the hiby player is on the main screen. Is there a setting for this? I mean it just skips to the next track if I hold the forward...- cthomas

So did anyone order this yet? Yeah I see what you’re saying but when everyone asks the same question I have to tell them it’s fake haha. I just wish fake carbon fiber wasn’t a thing on stuff like this. It’s like wearing fake jewellery- cthomas

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More
Thinking about these button placements a bit more I don’t feel they’re very intuitive. Of course it’s subjective but I’ll give my reasons why and I’m curious if people agree would with this. Sorry if I’m boring people with this subject but I find things like this interesting and I’ll shut up...- cthomas
