Let make an official heavys h1h thread?
Mine finally arrived today. Charging them up, but beyond Bluetooth on my phone, I can't listen to them how I plan to, connected via the analog 2.5mm jack to my NAD 3020 in the bedroom, because there's no cord! Did others receive an analog cord to go with the jack or is just not included?- Fastnbulbous

For anyone else waiting for their HEAVYs, they finally responded to me yesterday, and confirmed my suspicion that there was a QC issue they had to address. Supposedly all orders will be shipped by next week.- Fastnbulbous

Glad to see you finally got yours. Sometime before July 6 it appears. Still waiting for mine. Did they send an email with tracking code once it was shipped? I've received nothing from them. What did you mean about the price point? I bought two for $299 total (way back in October?), am gifting...- Fastnbulbous

Thanks for the update/rant -- let us know if you hear anything. My guess right now is perhaps a critical issue was found in the headphone, and they're scrambling to fix? Whatever the case is, they need to communicate!- Fastnbulbous

I just checked the FB page and people are pissed! No reports of anyone receiving anything, even though they posted a picture of a truck full of headphones being shipped out on April 28. Eh, I'm used to things being delayed.- Fastnbulbous

Thanks for that link, I've been wondering too. Looks like they started shipping Apr 28, probably to the very first batch of Kickstarters. I don't even remember when I ordered mine, maybe December? Hopefully they'll come before June. The Latin root of patience is pati, which means suffering ;)- Fastnbulbous

CanJam NYC 2023 Impressions Thread (February 25-26, 2023)
Have you gotten any update when they will be delivered? The site still says May for presumably everyone who ordered last year, but they have been unresponsive to my emails. Is there no thread on these headphones? Is it because the tech seems odd and no one's taking them seriously? It is Axel...- Fastnbulbous

They must be backed up, hadn't heard from them in at least 5 days. Good news is after a time out over the weekend and another air cleaning, I plugged it back in and it's working again. Fingers crossed it'll hold on a while longer!- Fastnbulbous

iFi Audio Pro iDSD discussion thread
It turns on, but no sound, through the balanced output nor the headphone jack. First time I rebooted, it gave some sort of error message which I didn't get a chance to write down. I turned it off again, blew some dust remover through it, tried to open it up for more thorough cleaning but...- Fastnbulbous

Makes me wonder too. I take good care of my gear. Just days after the 1 year warranty ended, unit itself made a horrible noise when set to tube or hybrid. I didn't use the tube much, so didn't think that would have died already, so I think it's just a bad unit. I just kept it on solid state --...- Fastnbulbous

My iDSD died -- it's only just over 3 years old, ugh. It was always more than I needed, though I have the stack with iCAN and iESL. I haven't changed the settings in 2 years. I'm checking with iFI to see what it would take to repair, but if I have to replace, might downgrade to a Schiit Modius...- Fastnbulbous

I need to log in here more, am missing good recommendations! After plonking for Susvara a couple years ago and spending money on building a gym at Rancho Bulboso, I've been avoiding temptation of buying anything new, though I did pre-order the HEAVYs. So as usual, here's my year-end lists...- Fastnbulbous

Seasons Greetings y'all, sorry I've been out of pocket, had a heck of a year since moving to Rancho Bulboso outside of Austin in Halloween 2021, dealing with contractors (including a husband-wife team where the wife stabbed the husband during a tiff on my property!), persistent raccoons under...- Fastnbulbous

A longtime acquaintance from another music group alerted me to this solo album from the singer of Polish power metallers Crystal Viper, covering all bands with female singers in the early 80s. https://burningambulance.com/2021/08/03/marta-gabriel/- Fastnbulbous

That Kosmodome made my list! Here's a few things from my metal lists: Not since Christian Mistress’ Agony & Opium EP (2010) have I been so excited about a new metal band. It took a couple tries to click — TOWER’s 2016 debut and Tomorrow & Yesterday EP (2019) were solid, but the muddy...- Fastnbulbous

Hey! They were a bit before my time, but I did buy that reissue when it came out! I wanted to see them at that Cobra Lounge show but missed it. I no longer live in Chicago, moved to Cedar Creek, outside of Austin on Halloween! The move consumed my life from Aug-Nov, so I had to stop a lot of my...- Fastnbulbous

Very glad to see The Vintage Caravan posted here on release day! Here's my battle report from last week. Looks like GVF made the Billboard top 10 at #7, with 47.6K copies, not as good as their debut which was #3 at 80K. As usual, the better bands didn't make the charts at all. Also I'm guessing the Go eases up on the clamping force. I imagine the pro line has that extra to ensure a solid seal, like tighty whities to the consumer line boxer briefs!- Fastnbulbous

Cool, I loved my 770 Pro, they were perfect metal cans. Just didn't like the clamping force. A friend bought them off me maybe 7 years ago, and his kids would often borrow them, but they'll probably outlive us all -- you could run those things over with a Jeep and they'd barely be scuffed! I...- Fastnbulbous

Rats. There goes my dream of them collaborating with Drop on a 20x more affordable version of the Orpheus. I think their $150 HD58X was a great gateway into the audiophile headphone world for a lot of folks. It would be nice if whoever acquired them didn't abandon that part of the business.- Fastnbulbous

Given that it's pretty easy to get the 800 S on sale for $1,200, that price is disappointing. At least they did tweak the tuning so it's unique. I- Fastnbulbous
