New Head-Fi Update
Hi guys, I haven't been back to head-fi for awhile. Imagine my surprise when I got back. Hahaha. I used to get daily emails with a list of subscribed threads w/ updates but those seemed to stop now. Now I get an email every time someone posts something so its really annoying now. How do I get...- jerryzm

Thanks for the review. Is there a bluetooth option in the ak70? (For wireless headphones) If so, how is the sound?- jerryzm

Audeze SINE Series
Hmm...For me, I was able to attach the Brainwavz pads onto the Sine without any issue. I was able to seal them in the grooves w/ some effort. When they are on the head however, they do keep slipping and I have to adjust....plus they look weird. I look like one of those guys in a firing range...- jerryzm

Audeze SINE Series
Wow that's cool. I wonder how the velours sound like. I once tried changing the pads to the Brainwavz pads I had lying around (these are the really thick ones from mp4nation). I have to say, they did improve soundstage but the sound was a little off for me. Especially the mids where they...- jerryzm

New iRiver AK70
I see. Again, I find this discussion really interesting, like the "synergy" part. Not saying I don't believe it. I guess I'll just have to hear it for myself to see what people are on about. But I do agree that small, pocketable daps w/ rich features are hard to come by. Especially those that...- jerryzm

New iRiver AK70
Heya, thanks for the interesting read. Very informative. Never thought of it like that (EMI, battery, UI). Just to clarify that I'm not just talking about phones in general. I'm talking about getting a cheaper dap or a phone as a music file delivery system instead of getting an expensive dap...- jerryzm

New iRiver AK70
Sorry. Just subscribed to this thread. I've been eyeing the AK300 for sometime but the AK70 has got me more interested because of the small form factor...plus cheaper price. :) Anyways, something has been bothering me recently. Every dap thread I've been to, people seem to pair them with the...- jerryzm

Great review! I've had mine for a year now and yes they sound really good. Best purchase I've ever made. Have you tried upgrading the cable? You'll be surprised how bad the stock cable makes the A3s sound compared to a custom made or even the upgrade cable sony provides.- jerryzm

Audeze SINE Series
Hi guys, sorry if this is coming out of nowhere. Based on the contributions here, I've finally decided to order one (without cypher cable). That was weeks ago. I ordered these directly from Audeze (at the time, they weren't backordered yet). Has anyone ordered SINE directly from Audeze...- jerryzm

Audeze SINE Series
Hi, been following this thread lately. I've been looking for a reason to replace my Sennheiser hd25 w/ the Sine as my main on-ear headphones. But so far, I'm still on the fence buying these. Anyone compared these to any existing on-ear headphones (not the over ear ones like the pm3)? Thanks.- jerryzm

I had these before. I don't think the reviewer has a defective pair since I also experienced this. Had to give them away because I could use them. They sound great (when pressed against my ears using my hands) but I couldn't get a proper seal. I came to the conclusion that my head was just too...- jerryzm

Hi Fungus, Where did you buy these from? They might be an older version but I'm not sure. I'm not aware any fake hd25s. My hd25 are also rough in the outer cups but has a 3.5mm headphone jack. As far as I know, there are multiple versions of the hd25. I think the one you got is for...- jerryzm

Thanks for that. I just got these last month and I have to say it surprised me as well. Build quality is excellent for the price and it can go head to head with my other fav iem, xba-a3. I haven't heard the Sennheiser HD 800 yet but if what you're saying is true, we have a keeper here. Great...- jerryzm

Same here. I might ask Mat to make me a similar cable soon. I have a B&O H6 and the cable size is the same as yours (3.5 to 3.5 but insert plug is like 6mm). Has anyone ever requested this type of customized cable before?- jerryzm

New ALO Rx - IEM only - Portable Amplifier Impressions and Discussion Thread
Hmmm. Thanks for the input, Relic. Really appreciate it. I agree about the X5ii HO being flat for some reason. Coming from the original X3 + E11K, I knew something was missing and was considering buying an external amp for my X5ii, like the ALO RX. Neways thanks again. Really helpful.- jerryzm

Hi Relic, I was wondering how does the ALO RX improve upon the FiiO X5ii sound signature? I was actually planning to buy the RX a month ago but decided to wait for more reviews. Neways thanks!- jerryzm
