It's been on and off, but there hasn't been a whole lot of snow. I haven't looked at the forecast, but I am willing to bet it should be clear this Saturday.- Hyjacked

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
Any thoughts as to whether the HE-400i would be a better experience over the HE-500? I listen to quite a bit of rock, hip hop, and electronic music. Currently own the HE-500s, Schiit Magni and Modi.- Hyjacked

Optimizing Audio Quality
Yes, my set-up is PC --> USB Cable --> Modi --> Magni --> HE-500s. However, I read that you should keep the player music and PC volume at 100% and then use the amp to adjust volume, which is what I have been doing. When I originally began using the Magni amp, I found that around half turned, the...- Hyjacked

Optimizing Audio Quality
Hi, Currently I am running a pair of HE-500s off a Schiit Magni/Modi combo. Yes, I know a higher end DAC and amp would certainly increase sound quality, but for now, they will have to do. I already plan to upgrade to something along the lines of the Lyr 2 and Bitfrost. The other thing I am...- Hyjacked

Thank you, you confirmed a number of my suspicions. Is it crazy of me to think the the M4U 1's are nearly as good?- Hyjacked

HE-500 Question
I recently purchased the HE-500's and they sound great, but not really "airy" or "open" as one would expect from an open-back headphone. Now, I am no audiophile and these are my first planar magnetic open-back headphones I have purchased, but I cannot help but think that they sound remarkably...- Hyjacked

HE-400, HD 600, or HD 650?
Well I would assume the HE-400i is going to be a branch off of the HE-400, meaning it will not be a very neutral headphone but an impressive one nonetheless. Got a good deal on the HE-500's, so that's the route I am taking. Thanks for the help though.- Hyjacked

HE-400, HD 600, or HD 650?
Okay, so I have been doing some research but I am new to open headphones, so I would love some input. My budget for open headphones is around $300-450. The amp that I plan to use is the O2/ODAC. From my understanding, the HE-400 is a wonderful bang for the buck and also has a "fun" factor in...- Hyjacked
