Thanks for your honest impressions. From what I've read it seems like the TH-600 is an improvement, but I think I'll save some money and go with the D2000's.

Sorry, I meant to include the D2000 as a choice.   Is the D5000/TH-600 worth the extra money?

Which is better between the Denon D5000 and Fostex TH-600?   Those are the three headphones I'm looking at, but I'm leaning towards the Fostex because I don't necessarily want to buy a used headphone that's already over two years old.   As a reference, I would be coming from the V-Moda...
