I will be using the tube amp mostly with my Beyers 1990pro. I have looked at the Schiit Lyr 3, Project Ember, and Massdrop CTH. If there are others that might fit the textbook sound of tubeyness please let me know. I realize different tubes have different sonic properties. I guess my question is...

I have been trying to find a site that does custom headphone cables (e.g. like Impact Cables, Forza Audio Works etc...) but with the option for a mic. I got a really nice cable from Impact cables for my AKG K7xx and would like one similar for my MH40. I use the mic function on the stock cable...

I am fairly new to good headphones and I have kept an eye on both of these headphones for some time. The Momentums are on sale in various online stores (amazon.com, newegg, bestbuy, etc...) for the same price (99$) as the Grado sr80e. The only headphones i own atm are Sennheiser hd448...
