Oh man that's a bummer! I have a crinkling in the right ear cup that gets worse each time I use them. The sound though... AMAZING. I am willing to try yet again for a third replacement. Audeze will take excellent care of you!

Just to clarify, you had the standard version and they gave you the titanium free as a replacement? Did you have any problems with the replacement? I'm going on to my third replacement of standard EL-8 now!

Oops.. Should have said I have the standard version, not titanium. I do not have the cypher cable or an iPhone either! I use my XDuoo X3 with the topping NX1A for mobile and it works okay. Could use more power.

I purchased mine second hand, no receipt and Audeze took great care of me. As for on the bus.. If you don't have a proper amp, the rumble of the engine completely ruins the bass response (it does for me).

UPDATE**   So, there IS a crinkle when I put them on as well as more bass in the left driver. Why, oh why, God!?

Well, bad news (i guess).. they are the 2015 model.. specifically from 12-30-15. They sound fine to me.. no crinkle sound, but very bright. Which is what I wanted. We shall see what time will say.
