Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]
As the chart linked here shows, even if you are on double blue (which seems unlikely with iems) you still have 10 db of headroom to 0, and much more power available after that...- jarnopp

You could always use an optical converter like this: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-mojo-2-thread-___-product-released-january-31-2022-starting-on-page-95-of-thread.885405/page-609#post-17795926- jarnopp

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
Maybe it’s the high output impedance of the Audio-gd? The specs say 100/200 ohms, which is much higher than the E3.- jarnopp

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
The bass impact is on the order of dynamic headphones, and more than the Noire’s. You can feel the impact when it’s there, like a dynamic driver. The soundstage is better presented, I think, though I am not typically listening for wide soundstage. It’s not artificial sounding though, like Hedd...- jarnopp

I haven’t heard the Ether Flow, but probably not. But I’m sure the Mojo2 DSP could help you if you felt you needed to tune the frequency response on those.- jarnopp

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
I had a modified HE-6 for a long time. Assuming I was driving it correctly (which according to many is impossible!) I preferred the E3, and even the Noire’s. I know open vs closed, but I sold the HE-6 also after the E3, along with the Heddphone 1. I only kept the HD-650 (classics!) and the Focal...- jarnopp

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
I moved from the Noire to E3 (and sold the Noire, along with a couple other headphones). There s more sub-bass and bass detail in the E3 than the Noire, which have a mid-bass hump. E3 has this a little bit, but I’ve become really addicted to a slight tweak (using Mojo2’s DSP)...- jarnopp

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
The digital 1s and 0s are transmitted faithfully through the USB to optical conversion. The noisy RFI that travels along the conductive connection is broken by converting to optical but the bits are all there (up to 192kHz).- jarnopp

For very little money you could try a USB to optical converter, which will feed digital without any electrical noise. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VSFBT82/- jarnopp

All this battery talk now… I got my Poly when it was first released (and then the replacement for the power on issue a year later in March 2018j. I’ve used it pretty much daily for about 90 minutes with Mojo and now Mojo2, charging to full along with Mojo/2 when it gets to red. They both seem...- jarnopp

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]
I like Mojo 1 with the A2C and then the Noire quite a bit. Mojo 2 really showed how those headphones scaled. And, Mojo 2 is so good it showed how it scales driving the E3, which is the next step after the Noires. Any choice along that path and you won’t go wrong, IMO.- jarnopp

This makes the point for the need for slight EQ tweaks to the sound. These are still 5 distinct headphones and any one measurement from each will pretty much separate them into 5 (maybe a couple of exceptions). So, if you like that frequency response, you are well within your rights to tune it a...- jarnopp

My use case for DSP is with the Dan Clark E3 headphones, and this small tweak really lets the bass texture and detail through, IMO. 20Hz +2, 125Hz -2, 3000Hz +1, 20kHz -3 Here’s what you’ll get as a deviation from the normal frequency response:- jarnopp

Using Mojo2, I do not hear any veil. There is not supposed to be with this “Ultra High Def” DSP according to the designer: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-mojo-2-thread-___-product-released-january-31-2022-starting-on-page-95-of-thread.885405/page-92#post-16792115- jarnopp

If anyone is using Mojo2 with E3, and you want a bit more neutral sound at either end, these DSP settings might help: 20Hz +2, 125Hz -2, 3000Hz +1, 20kHz -3 Here’s what you’ll get as a deviation from the normal frequency response:- jarnopp

Make sure whatever app you are using to control Poly and feed music is set to “bit perfect” or full volume. Then use the Mojo volume buttons to control the volume. That will give you the best sound quality.- jarnopp

For the “silent” 192k song, it’s because the optical cable is not transmitting that resolution. If you can downsample to 96k you should hear it. Try a different cable, like the Kabeldirect mentioned above to get 192k.- jarnopp

This was why I ultimately did not go with PGGB. The files do sound better, but first the hassle to create them and second, I was using RPi and optical into the mScaler. With Bixpower now, I do feel I am not missing much, if anything.- jarnopp
