The Susvara doesn't have more slam, the Arya has a more peaky treble than the Ananda. For more slam, you should look at eqing the lower end. Edit - A bit more on Susvara , Ananda. The Susvara is more balanced around 1 to 6khz than the Ananda and Arya. Arya peakiness is grating, particularly...- fsi22

I'm after cables. I like the look of the Kimber Axios. The wood and weaving are at a stunning level. Are there any other suggestions, for cables with that quality of workmanship?- fsi22

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread
I tested all the units with all cables I have. Skyaudio cables, Original Hifiman, Sennheiser and a cheap AliExpress cables. All gave me the same result in terms of maximum output at clipping. Yeah, the Diablo is awesome but low impedance and low sensitivity is a torture test for amplifiers...- fsi22

3.5mm would be the way to go with those. 17 Ohm , 107dB mW sensitivity. You'd get 126dB SPL and not run into any issues.- fsi22

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread
Doesn't change sound quality, increases the Voltage. I have 2 units which ab tested at max voltage of the SE. No difference. For the HD600, I'd use balanced as it gets a little louder. I haven't tested a 300 Ohm to measure exactly how much but it would be at least 4dB.- fsi22

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread
I've tested the BTR5 balanced out , 2.8V no clipping maxed out on 40hz and 1khz sine wave into 56 Ohm load. I use mine through 2.5mm into an Xcan. Balanced Ouput is 5.5V (Max BTR5 and + 10 in red zone on Xcan) Which I find stunning as it then is Diablo, Normal output level. To put into...- fsi22

Violectric DHA V590 DAC/AMP - Blue Velvet
Thanks, I'm space limited. Area that I have for an amp is 480mm x 390mm x 100mm. Based on their manuals, the V590 and Topping A90 are the only 2 locally available units, I could find that fit within those dimensions and are able to produce 15V continous output or more.- fsi22

HiFiMan Susvara
not 5Amps. It's max current into 56 Ohms is 0.27mA but will not sustain that for any usable time. Will drop down to a sustained 0.136mA into 56 Ohms. Balanced clips earlier. 6.3mm on my unit will reach and hold 0.153mA into 56 Ohms. The Diablo is an excellent portable amplifier and will drive...- fsi22

[FiiO M17] Dual ES9038PRO, dual THXAAA-788+, dual power supplies, 9200mAh battery, 2 volume control modes
ifi spec is maximum, not continous. HUGE difference, I've measured the Diablo in 33 Ohm continous in Turbo Single Ended is around 7.6V ( Realistically it outputs 1.75 W ) Nowhere near 5 Watts for continous. If the FiiO M17 can produce continous 6.19V @ 32 Ohms, that would be 1.2W or 30dB above...- fsi22

A Vote About the Headphone Jack Position of Bluetooth DAC/Amps
Top is more convenient but would prefer anything that will increase battery. Wouldn't that also lengthen the body by at least 5mm? I'm fine with slightly bigger but just curious? -
HiFiMan Susvara
Solderdude's Susvara measurement is a typo , I had a chat with him a few weeks back, as I was certain they measured 80dB mW, which he confirmed. The Susvara I know of actually measured 60 Ohm @ 79.2dB mW, so 120dB SPL is 448mA / 26.87V / 12W. I have mine set at 95 dB SPL @ 1khz 0dB FS usually...- fsi22

iFi audio iDSD Diablo - A portable reference done our way!
Been using the Diablo for a few months, feel that I have tested this device enough to have a concrete opinion on it. Ifi have every reason to be proud of this device. It depends on your preference. The big cup HFM have a different approach to treble and have pretty tall soundstages with cool spatial. If you are treble sensitive the Arya and SE will probably be too intense. The Arya also has more grain with certain vocals compared to the HE6SE. The HE6SE...- fsi22

iFi audio iDSD Diablo - A portable reference done our way!
If they're efficient headphones I'd go Black Label or Signature ( Black Label offers analog input which the Signature doesn't ) If it's less efficient or if you plan on using a balanced amplifier, Diablo.- fsi22
