wow the hiss is a real bummer, if it is as bad as my HA2 I might have to pass on the fiio x5iii... @JamesFiiO any chance of this being fixed via firmware?

thanks a lot for the info. what I noticed with the fiio daps I owned previously is that using them as a DAC and leaving them idle for a while will cause them to disconnect (especially if computer enters sleep). would it be possible for you to confirm if this is the case?

This is such a shame. I just went to Null Audio to demo the Hidition NT6 Pro and fell in love with it on first listen but these horror stories are keeping me from ordering a pair. Do update us on how the repair process goes and especially if AAW can do anything about the problem.

How is the line out on the new X1? (compared to old X1, X3 etc)

Cool product! I am sure this will sell like hotcakes for its convenience and improved usability. I would like to know how the line out on the new x1 is compared to the old one as this seems like a great choice to pair with an external amp.

I have to say, that is one of the nicest portable looking setups that I have seen. The AK Jr with the green sleeve and the custom cable in addition to the immaculate build quality of the Nova makes for a stunner of a setup. I would get the Jr for its looks if not for its painfully sluggish UI. 

that doesn't make any sense, you should check your settings to see if you can fix it in the software.  In general, you should not detach/reattach the mmcx connectors too often as they may become loose over time.
