Well it was the amp.   Oddly enough, I needed to change the input selection even though the interconnects are hooked up to the same bank as they were with Coax. That in itself makes no sense but I can live with it. :D

I definitely toggled to USB - was able to get the sound from my headphones. Then I moved the headphones over to my amp (where the Hugo was still hooked up via RCA after successfully transmitting from the CD Coax) and nothing. I didn't remove the Coax though as sound was hitting the headphones...

  I'm assuming this is in reply to me (fingers crossed it is). :)   The audio is fine when I listen via the 1/4" headphone jack - it's just not spitting out audio via RCA for some reason. :(

  Hmmm...thanks for the response - my amp inputs are either balanced or RCA unfortunately so I'd have introduce another piece of gear into the mix I guess. I'd imagine that technically this should work though.   The nuances of the Hugo are perplexing to me. 

QQ - been fussing around with the Hugo trying to get the most out of the number of inputs I'm sending its way.   I'd been running coax from a CD transport to it and then outputting via RCA to my amp without any problems. Today I was messing around with sending data from a Mac to it via HD USB...
