Opamps - can you hear the difference?
I've messed around with Opamps, capacitors and buffers and the effects it has on sound. Operating temps on the buffers also has a sound effect, but that is on bigger stuff. Hence why I have a variety of amplifiers with different combo's of opamps and buffers, so I don't get "bored" with a...- snellemin

Swapped out the AD8620 Opamp to a Muses8832 inside the AM3E amp module, since I still use the FiiO Q5 and Q5s Dac/Amps. I shall call this module the AM3F.- snellemin

I've double stacked the buffers inside my RSA SR71B. Basically same thing I do with my Ibasso PB2. Sub bass sounds nicer to me, especially with planars and the JVC s2k.- snellemin

My other battery came in from Amazon and installed it in my oldie-> Ibasso D12 Ananconda. Soldered up some new EA Conx connectors and jamming Sony EX800ST's. Opamp installed is a AD8656, with stock silver buffers.- snellemin

R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby
The battery cell cannot be purchased by itself. I harvested the cell from a HP branded laptop battery pack and soldered it onto the old BMS. I used a heat gun to warm up the rear cover to soften up the glue that holds it down. So it's not really job to be done by a novice.- snellemin

R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby
I replaced the battery myself and it's an branded ATL cell, that is used in HP laptops. Way longer runtime and it was a tight fit. CT scan of the original swollen R5 battery.- snellemin

Effect Audio cables thread
I just got the Cadmus and hooked it up the 7Hz Legato. To my ears it's the best combo. Sub-bass beats my previous copper cable, which is crazy to me. I dropped my EQ at 45hz by 3db! And the highs are "smoother" around the edges, is the only way I can explain it. Good stuff.- snellemin

I use a Nikon XT H 225. Kinda big unit, but it's a workhorse. My main use for it, is to scan batteries among other failure analysis work. Below is the link to some of my scans and there should be pictures of the Nikon unit. CT scans- snellemin

R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby
The Hiby R5 battery had swollen up. Ran a CT scan on the the swollen cell and it's of the lowest quality by our standards here at work. Hiby needs to find a better battery supplier. Anyways, I stuck in a used ATL cell in the R5 and got 4AH now vs 3.5 stock. This cell will last me way longer...- snellemin

Yes, I added more more bass and running it using balanced out of a Fiio M11pro. I'm using a Eletech Fortitude cable with the Legato. The stock cable is nice, but I will have to swap out the stock 3.5 to a 4.4mm plug, whenever I'm bored. It seems I have to bust out my old RSA amps just to run...- snellemin

The Legato with some EQ (more subbass), is a great IEM for me. I have to feed it more power vs my other IEM's and I still can't bottom out the drivers. Sound signature is really like old school speakers(which I still have). I swapped out the stock cables and finding the right tips is still a...- snellemin

I can leave the 2 pin conx pins permanently into the IEMS and just unscrew them when I need to swap to other IEM's. I have 3 pairs each of MMCX and 2 pin connectors. So I'm pretty much set for a long time, since I don't have that many 2 pin IEM's compared to my MMCX collections of IEM's.- snellemin

I had bought a few ConX "kits" from Audio46. I didn't have my Cardas solder with me at work, so I used the lead free solder we have at hand. Soldering is like any MMCX female connector.- snellemin

Swapped out the stock 2 pin with the ConX connector kit. Now I have both MMCX or 2 Pin to use with the same cable. I'm really impressed with this cable under the microscope. It has fibers that are encased in twisted conductors. In between the bundles of wires I also observed different gauges...- snellemin

This Conti is best bang for the buck for top grade copper cables. I am surprised how soft this cable really is. Hooked up to the Kinera Celest and it's a perfect match when EQ'ed for bass.- snellemin
