USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I see. The Switch only accepts UAC1 devices that default to 16/48, can't imagine anything above $5 doing that these days.

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

Hmm maybe the old cable isn't TPE after all, it's not sticky/rubbery. Still pretty flexible after a couple years though.

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

Can someone recommend me some 2 pin 0.78mm cables? Something soft and flexible, comfort is the only concern I have for cables. Preferably with a wire diameter after the split of 1.5mm, and uses TPE for the jacket. It's just years ago I bought a (very cheap) cable with those specs, and it...

Do any of the compact dongles works with the Switch? My pixel dongle didn't.

    Home-Made IEMs

Second attempt. It won't go any deeper than this. Wasn't able to get all of the external ear either. Guess I'm getting that syringe after all. Another month.

    Home-Made IEMs

Too late to buy anything now... I modified the syringe to have a 12.8mm nozzle (was 8mm before). Hope it goes better this time.

Does the syringe have to reach deep into the canal for the material to go in far enough? The one I'm using has a short (1cm) tip/nozzle.

    Home-Made IEMs

So I messed up and ended up wasting half of the mold silicone. The syringe I used also had too short of a nozzle. I used 7g (each) here but next time I'll probably use 5g. I wanted to make a full ear impression (like what 64 audio would require) but it seems too difficult to do by myself. The...

What are the current go-to builds? I can't find the bellsing 10013 anywhere.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Got some tips to try with my Galaxy Buds+. From left to right: Comply True Wireless, Azla Xelastec for AirPods Pro, Menthon TW30 Pro. Xelastec: Fits on easily, the sticky surface makes them a bit awkward to put on but they stay in well once on. No significant change to sound. Comply: Very...

    Azla Sedna Earfit Tips

Just dropping by to mention that the APP Xelastecs fit the Galaxy Buds perfectly.

    Home-Made IEMs

I think it's shaped that way so it can be a drop-in replacement for DDs.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Well that didn't work out and I didn't get to try the APP version. Normal Xelastec fits on the Buds/Buds+, but the stem is too long. The APP version has a shorter stem, much like the tips that come with the Buds. With detailed dimensions of the tip I could compare them but those are not...

They both measure the same as Xelastec. I might be able to try the APP Xelastec later today, see if it fits on the galaxy buds.

So yeah the Xelastecs don't go well with Galaxy Buds. They stick out too much, just enough to be uncomfortable (but you can still force them on your ears). Anyone tried the airpods pro version with galaxy buds?

I'd like to see some of those with "funny ergonomics".

Just picked up the Buds+. I remember crinacle mentioned the upper mids can get a bit hot, but I'm not feeling that, at all. In fact I feel the mids are a bit recessed. These are the only IEMs I've used recently that don't pierce my ears without sounding too dull.

    IEM for Movie Watiching?

I do find an elevated sub bass very satisfying to watch movies with. My vsonic GR07 37 does this quite well, its highs are lacking however, but at least that means less fatigue.

You should use stranded, enameled wire. I just cut the wire from the detached cable.

    Etymotic ER4SR "Assembled in Vietnam"

Well Knowles drivers are still made in the US afaik. I've seen Knowles drivers packaged in pairs, maybe they offer driver matching service? Maybe it's only temporary due to the pandemic.

Sony budget earphone discussion thread (MH750, MH755, MH1C, EX300, etc)

So anyone got one of the "new batches" MH755 with no label? Are they real?

I found one still selling the MH1a even. Gotta wonder how many they made.

    Tri-brid IEMs and non-BA/non-DD technology

I've seen these new types of drivers for sale individually too. Wonder why there's suddenly an influx of new techs within the last few years. The drivers aren't expensive, except for the Sonion electrostats, which apparently has a built-in amp.
