Frankly I believe it's going to be worth it: some of the changes Garry hinted at, directly improve sonic performance, like I2s , option of femto clock and improved voltage regulation. If It actually will be around the same price range I will consider It extremely seriously.

I have to say that I am reading thse reports about the R2R 7 being more electrically noisy and/or acoustically hissy with rising anguish. This could be a negative deal breaker for me..call it obsession if you want but I cant't stand hiss..and I was almost ready to buy it..

gk2013 is right..actually many , if not most, Chinese DAC's are not compatible with the PS Audio pin setting. For example my Gustard x-20 is not. This is why certainty was important to me, I asked specifically the magna hifi people, and I thought of sharing the info..

It maybe of interest for those (like me) who play cd's through a PS Audio memory player that the guys from Magna hi fi have expressly confirmed to me that the R2R 7's HDMI connector is indeed compatible.
