Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
The Z5's more durable, had mine for about half a year and only the sides have slightly chip off a bit. Anyways, anyone tried the "Sony MUC-M2BT1" with the A3 or Z5? Curious about how it performs http://watchmono.com/blog-entry-6427.html- Meth

It's working great, just collected it. Yeah I was informed that it'll take approx 2-3 weeks, but the delivering seem to take up most of the waiting time here (4-6 weeks back fourth) but I guess that's how the company(SKM) in charge here handles it.- Meth

Would like to know hows the battery for all of you guys who's been using the DX80 for over a period of time. I've been using the DX80 for the past 4 months, reaching a point where the battery only lasted 2 hours (100% to 0%), playing 16bit/44khz flacs while it's screen offed. (You can assume...- Meth

Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
Thanks for the info (: Interesting to hear that it would work. My natural reaction would be upgrading to a balanced DAP if I wanted to go balanced out(but I really love the DX80, which restrained my option to go balanced). Have always wanted to go balanced with the Z5 after hearing many...- Meth

I'm currently using the iBasso DX80 which is a single ended equipment. If I use a 3.5mm split cable to two 3.5mm, to connect it to the balance cable, does it work as balanced?- Meth

Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
A used Z5 that comes along with the upgrade cable at 430usd looks like a steal to me. Among the list that you mentioned, imo the Z5 would be the best choice. It have an amazing sound-stage compared to any other competitor in that range.- Meth

More volume on low gain. It's the most efficient to stay low gain unless the cans requires going high gain to be at a normal listening level. One, you'll be using lesser power(Reduce heat and battery consumption). Two, a more accurate and true sound(Sound not being forced).- Meth

Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5
Sorry to hear that. I'm sure it opens up to better opportunities. If you like a more forward/in-your-face sound, the JVC-FX1200 would come as as a good one. It houses a simillar signature as the XBA-Z5/A3, and would save you some penny. It's also a smaller in size, and comes with a wood...- Meth

Sony XBA-A3 - Impressions Thread
These are definitely a pillar up there compared to the Titan series. It's houses a dark and warm signature, and it's non-fatiguing. If you're coming from the Dunu Titan 1, the most prominent difference like @JustJoseph have said, would be the bass. The A3 also pronounce a different kind of...- Meth

SpinFit Eartips Thread - The cheapest audio upgrade
The S was too small, and L was too huge, so I end up getting the M size. Apparently, the IEM I'm using is the Sony XBA-Z5, which house a heavy driver. Due to that, spin fit was not able to hold it's position with it's silicone material. The spiral dot which I've been using had been amazing...- Meth

1.4.0 currently sounds the best to my ears, coming from the constant update and always coming back to 1.1.4, I've found that 1.1.4 sounded more shy, and presents a flatter sounds in an A/B test with 1.4.0. In the other hand, 1.4.0 presents a more bipolar sound. It sounded similar to 1.1.4, while...- Meth

Currently on 1.4.0. I came from 1.1.4 with the draining problem occurring out of the blue. The battery drain started recently. It used to last approx 11 when I got it, with the settings, screen-off, low-volume, flacs audio with iBasso's burn-in cable. Now, only about <4 hours on screen-off. With...- Meth
