    Is GruvGlide acidic???

So I just took a look at my old can of GruvGlide, and I see that some of the metal surrounding the spray nozel has, oh I don't know to say, burned off or something? Actually, on second thought, it looks a bit like rust. I can only guess that it's from the residue from the spray - what say you guys?

    Pioneer HDJ-1000 Review

Just got my Pioneer HDJ-1000 in a couple of days ago, so please allow me to write down some of my impressions... My previous pair of headphones was the Sony MDR-V6 (a.k.a. Sony 7506... do NOT mistaken it for the MDR-V600, as the V600 is CRAP!), a tough headphone to beat, for sure, but I lost...

    Sony CD3000 V RS1

I've owned both, but at different times... From what I can remember of the CD3000, I like the RS-1 better. First and foremost, about the comfort... I don't understand the people's complains about the RS-1 being uncomfortable. I actually find it MORE comfortable than the CD3000. Why...

    Ever Re-discover a song?

Yup... it has happened to me just recently. Really, just the biggest hip-hop hits of the 90's. Specifically, Tupac's "To Live and Die in LA." Ah, the memories...

So Cal meet 1st of March!!!

LOL Aim9x. I know how you feel about flakers, though. But that's the way with most Los Angeles folks. It's cool to flake out... or something... As much as it is cool to be late I suppose. Anyway, I'll definitely be up for a head-fi meet. I've got the Grado RS-1 and HP-1. Sorry, no CD3000...

Other good British bands like 'Coldplay' and 'The Doves'?

Just wanted to express content at the fact that Doves is getting more recognition! And it's "Doves," not "The Doves," by the way. I saw them perform here in Los Angeles at The Mayan theatre last year, and Elbow opened for them, too, which is also an awesome band. I just loved how Elbow's songs...

    Sushi?

I love mirugai (giant clam). Too bad it's one of the more expensive sushi's.

    Oh my goodness!!

Sony V-700s really that bad? (comprehensive long)

Hey Eage_Driver, what would you say is better than the MDR-V700 and MDR-7506 for DJing?

Odd things about the HD 600 and MDR-7506, plus MDR-V700DJ revisited

http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showt...threadid=21323 In short, I made that thread talking about how the V700's are much better for DJing than the MDR-7506's are. When listening to music, however, the MDR-7506's are much better.

Quote: These lists are all ********. Go ahead and pine over these ugly artificial women who dont even look like human beings 90% of the time. LET THE MEDIA PROGRAM YOUR MIND. Cmon, obsess over an ideal that is so lofty its beyond even those people the list is made up of. They have to sit in...

    MTV's Becoming: Non-Teenage Girl N'Sync fans Exist!?

Quote: production value comes into play for these bands. i have seen quite a few unexpected nsync-type fans in my days, especially among people who are fans of (or aspire to be a part of) broadway theatre. what these boy bands do is very akin to the production of a broadway musical: singing...

Top 100 list desireable women 2002!

Agreed, Natalie Portman should be much higher up there. And yes, Monica Belluci is absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Brotherhood of the Wolf.

Do I dare? Sony MDR-V700 vs. Sony MDR-V6...

I'm not saying that the V700 is a good headphone by any means. The point I was trying to make was that Sony probably intentionally made the bass on the V700 bloated in such a way that it will be beneficial for club environments, and thus the V700 serves its purposes (being a DJ headphone)...

Do I dare? Sony MDR-V700 vs. Sony MDR-V6...

After listening to both headphones in two different environments, (DJing and home-listening) I've come to the conclusion that the V700 is a much better set of headphones for DJing while the V6 is much (and I mean MUCH) better for home listening. I've had the MDR-V6 for quite a long time...

    Speakers vs. Headphones

The best headphones in the world do not come even close to rivalling the best speakers in the world. With speakers you feel the music, while you merely listen to music with headphones.

Does anyone here listen to trance?

Quote: I really like Sasha's new solo album 'Airdrawndagger'. It's much different than the work he did with Digweed. Lots of new sounds in this one, much of it sounds nearly ambient while other parts are driven by heavy beats. I even read one reviewer who compared a track to a Depeche Mode...

    Trance suggestions?

You want driving music? Check out John Digweed's Global Underground: Los Angeles compilation (only the second disc, though). It is not trance by any means, but it is still great driving music. The type of music that he plays certainly requires an acquired taste, so it will take you a few listens...

Does anyone here listen to trance?

punosion: Awesome! I saw Sasha when he was over here in Los Angeles at The Palace as well. I had more fun dancing to John Debo's music, though. From what I've heard I'd assume his show at the Mayan theatre, a few weeks before the one at The Palace, was much better. When I saw S&D playing in...

Does anyone here listen to trance?

Quote: Saw Tiesto on Friday night. Excellent set of uplifting and melodic stuff. I had seen him in Ibiza where he went more progressive to cater to the Brits I guess, but this is the Tiesto that I wanted to see. Highlights for me included the Tiesto remix of Southern Sun, his own Lethal...

Does anyone ever see a time when headphones will be the leading way to listen

Nope. What I strongly believe is that headphones are used for listening to music, while speakers (good ones, that is) are used for feeling the music.

    Golly, New Bose Headphones

Please just try to imagine how difficult it was for me to keep my lips shut when I heard my floormate saying that those headphones "are the bomb." His uncle works for Bose, maybe that gave me some incentive to keep quiet, for the sake of having proper manners.
