Ah ok. This is has been confusing for me in the past since aftermarket sites list the baffle and driver as a capsule. I guess they are just referring to the driver when they do that. Thanks!

Was referring to the capsule or baffle that houses the drivers. See post #6723 for this pictured.. I am continually surprised at the amount of people with a lot of experience in the hobby that do not understand how these 6 series headphones work. :wink:

Thank you for clearing this up. I was going to say the bit yesterday about you all not being able to tell difference between a headphone that was disassembled properly and one that wasn't (which is the whole point of a modular headphone lol), but people were so far off the mark in here in terms...

As long as the unit wasn't damaged I wouldn't care. But then I understand the concept of a modular headphone. Returning in like new condition would mean the original drivers were in the headphone, so yes.

It's weird. I can only enjoy these with a 650 capsule. Stock capsule is too smooth sounding. It's a bit dull to my ears.. It's good in cases like these that I have many 6 series parts strewn about :smiley:

Roon has a feature called "volume adjustment when loudness is unknown". Tweaked that and no more low volume noise out of the amp on the Serenade. Been giving the Serenade's amp more time since the adjustment and it performs quite well. It's a nice change up when I want to give the V222 a rest.

When is this headphone being released? And is the headband real leather?
