Nintendo Dsi As Source
I really was wanting an iPod Touch. I've been using a first gen 2GB Clix. My dh is into mods and homebrew and after doing some research he decided on the NDSi. I did put some songs on an SD card and have given it a listen with my marshmallows. Honestly the sound isn't too bad. Granted the volume...- Scrapqueen

Nintendo Dsi As Source
I got a Nintendo DSi for Christmas. I was wondering if anyone here uses one of these, or any other Nintendo DS, as a portable source. What are your impressions? I normally use mp3s but the NDSi uses AAC so I have to download iTunes and convert. I did find some sites that talked about homebrew...- Scrapqueen

Combining multiple music files to create a cdimage and cue sheet
There is a program called Audacity in which you can remove the few seconds of silence that is between songs and combine them into one song. Is this what you are wanting to do? This will make a whole cd as one file. The only draw back to this is when you play the music file it will not show the...- Scrapqueen

Is drug rehab expensive?
I don't know about the expense of drug rehab but before he can get clean he has to really want to. And I mean really want to. You can talk to him about your concern for him and if you are the spiritual type you can pray for him. But there isn't much else that you can do for him.- Scrapqueen

Music for babies
I don't know about specific types of music but my baby absolutely loved my singing. Often times when she would get active I would start singing and she would settle down. I also ring handbells at church and those made her particularly active. If you like classical music I think that type is...- Scrapqueen

iAudio D2 vs iriver Clix?
I can't speak about the D2 but I love my Clix. It sounds great with my marshmallows. Fingerprints are attracted to it but they are easy to wipe off. I plan on getting the next gen Clix because I enjoy mine so much.- Scrapqueen

For Head-fi & Audiophile Women
As a female I just have to reply. Pooh 831 makes some very good points. I am a singer and music lover. I'd love to have top notch headphones but because of living on dh's income I have to choose my family's needs before my own. When I decided I wanted new headphones I did my research. I chose...- Scrapqueen

Dear iRiver, Please put SDHD slot on iClix!
Quote: I know. Why did they stop making that great line of players? The only thing I can figure is there just aren't enough numbers of us who really appreciate great SQ. Apparently, companies can make more $$ selling tons of lower-end stuff to the masses -- who on average don't care...- Scrapqueen

Media Monkey - Anybody using it?
I am using Media Monkey but only the free version. And I agree that it is easier than foobar. I have a problem with programs that want you to learn a scripting language to make things look nice. Are you ripping your cds to your computer? I'll have to test this but don't think you should have...- Scrapqueen

My wife's marshmellows lol
Personally I don't find the marshmallows to be too uncomfortable. They do make one ear itch but that could be dry skin or anything causing it. I do want to buy a second pair and mod them.- Scrapqueen

Considering braces... what do I need to know?
Did you wear the retainers nightly after you got the braces out? I would assume its either your fault that you did not follow the ortho's guidance and you didn't go back to see what measures to take to keep them straight. I wore mine religiously until it started making my teeth hurt more than...- Scrapqueen

Considering braces... what do I need to know?
I had braces so I will tell you honestly from my perspective. They were the biggest waist of money and caused needless pain. My teeth looked great for a while but are now crooked again. I have always taken great care of my teeth but they just are not straight anymore. My dh had the same...- Scrapqueen

Audiophile hatred?
This is a very interesting thread. I didn't know there were haters of audiophiles out there. My main hobby is scrapbooking and I have run into haters. I am on my way to becoming an audiophile. What I don't understand are people who have no hobbies at all. I mean, what type of life is one where...- Scrapqueen

Hi! I'm New
Hi everyone. Been lurking and reading this site for about a month now. I was referred to this site from another music site when I was asking about headphones. I did some reading and settled on the JVC Marshmallows for now to use with my mp3 player. The more I read the more interested I get into...- Scrapqueen
