What was up with the Dolby certification anyway? Dolby will certify anything--like soundbars with only 2 woofers. My PHONE is "Dolby Atmos" certified. Dolby will certify a potato but not the A16 for years??

I didn't hear a difference with DACs until I spent 1300 on a gumby. I had a mimby, and it didn't sound any better than my sound card. Save your money for something great.

I've had both, and no. The 990 is sibilant af and handles sssss like a snake. Th900 handles highs with more grace. They're in your face but detailed. The 990 also lacked quantity in the lows.

Try a reset. When the unit is on, press and hold the SBX button, then (while still holding the SBX button), press and hold the power button too. The buttons will flash a couple times, then let go. See if that helps.
