    Audeze Trade-In, Trade-Up: Save $2000 off LCD-5 or CRBN (June 2023 Offer)

So to clarify, would this deal extend to Canada? Saying USA customers says no, but explaining in detail the costs and duties confused me. The FAQ page specifically mentions duties, which would only apply to international customers such as Canadians, correct?

iFi iDSD Micro DSD512 / PCM768 DAC and Headphone Amp. Impressions, Reviews and Comments.

I've been unable to get my iDSD BL to work as the audio device from my Android 11 phone. For a long time it worked just fine out of my old Nexus 5, but on my newer Android I can't get it working. I was able to find links to a now dead FAQ page that I remember describing the developer USB...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

His measurements of the V2 were pretty well documented to be flawed. I'd take the effectiveness of his EQ profile with many a grain of salt. I'm curious to see other EQ profiles though, definitely interested in benefiting from the experiments of others :dt880smile:

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Had my V2 for about 6 months now and the draw hasn't worn off yet. My Clears and MX4 have barely had a look in since the V2 arrived.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I was concerned about this too, but after adding a $10 headband pad I've had zero complaints about the comfort. At first I didn't think I'd like it over longer listening sessions. Reason being that I've got rather big ears and the pad did rub on a pointy part of my mid-ear. The thing is, they're...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

This has occurred on my V2. I hadn't tried fixing it as it's sitting in my preferred setting. But I'm inclined to remove the cup and take a look.

Woah, what a trip. I have the same keyboard and V2's :D

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

As does my iDSD BL. I use it on 'normal' power level and it drives them loud and fully. Eco power mode however can get volume, but the bass is simply gone.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Sadly, my V2's right driver has started cutting out intermittently. I thought it was dead, but after giving it a few days I plugged them back in to see, and after trying it with the left driver unplugged it popped back to life. It doesn't seem to be cable related, and there's no change if I...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Here, here. The MX4 is a slight step up from the X and I find the Diana's are a clear step up from the MX4, especially in the treble... yet apparently they're nothing but distortion up there!? Funny, it's almost as if some measurements have been poorly taken or something.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I'd say I'm in the same boat. However, if you take a look back through the thread, you'll find a lot of people complained about heavy clamping around their temples. It's that front/top corner of the pad where the foam is shaved off to reduce pressure.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

It really depends on your head shape. Also, if you're ordering directly from Abyss, you can request the DMS pads instead of the standard ones at no extra cost (you'll receive on pair of pads, not both). I was very much anticipating having to get the DMS pads, but I've found the Diana's to be...

So yeah, maybe hold off on further emphatic recommendations of gear that serves a different purpose.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

It's too late for one small edge on the headband, but to stop further chips I've wrapped my stand in some cloths, also partly because I hang my MX4 from the headband, not the strap.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

So far my only complaint with my V2 is how easily the paint is chipped. I've nudged one part of the headband a couple times when taking them off my headphone stand and it's visibly scratched the paint off. In comparison, I've knocked my MX4 in a similar way many times and it's unmarked. I'm...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

With all this talk of bass quantity, daps and a90's, I can't help but add my 2c. I've currently got a surplus of DACs and amps of varying cost and design. Firstly, amps. The Diana's need current. I've got multiple amps that can get them plenty loud and will produce a resolving sound, but will...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Absolutely agree. Also, they've got some of the best sub-bass I've heard... and I've had a few Audeze's. I've never been great at describing various parts of the spectrum, but it does sound to me like there's a bit less mid-bass than some 'bassier' cans, but good god, kick drums especially...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I have indeed and it's a great pairing. I also auditioned the V1 & Phi with it and it works well with all of them. It's worth noting though, that these are the first headphones I've used with it where I found it necessary to use the 'Normal' (middle) power mode as opposed to 'Eco' (lowest) on...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Take a look back through the thread, there's a bunch of impressions of the cable. Though the general consensus seems to be that the improvement will be lessened the lower in the Abyss lineup you go, eg. V2 benefits the least from it, due to it being inherently less resolving.
