Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
Im sure this has been talked about already, but form someone who has heard both, how much of a difference is there between the hd600 and the hd660s? Been looking at reviews and some say it's a really noticeable difference some say not much. I have the hd600 and i love them, so i wanted to know...- Rex Aevum

I read some of the thread for the Darkvoice 336 but it was mainly about making modifications to it by replacing components internaly - how do they sound out of the factory? How does it compare to something like the Little Dot mk3 / La Figaro 339 / WA6, since they are the main contenders right...- Rex Aevum

Yeah a lot of my headphones are planar and the two I wave my eye on are also planar. Given, I would really also want to listen to a Focal Clear or Elear to see what they sound like but don't really have anywhere near me to listen to them. So i want an amp that played nicely with dynamic...- Rex Aevum

Nice, it says it's an OTL amp but it's still works well with low impedance headphones - what's your experience with that? Since I mainly have relatively low impedance sets, and the headphones I have my on are Mr.Speakers Aeon C and maybe an Audeze LCD-2C (I have the lcd-x but i want something...- Rex Aevum

I saw some drama happened while I was asleep... that is unfortunate. I do believe that all feedback is useful both positive and constructive but attacking someone because of their opinion is not why we are here. On another topic, the WA6 and Lyr 2 are more on the neutral side, are they like...- Rex Aevum

Thanks for the response, it really helps me out since I’m still new to the whole game. You try the lyr 2 or the wa6? Any opinion on what the difference are beside hybrid and transistor coupled. Does the lyr have more closer to a solid state kind of a sound or does it still sound like tubes?- Rex Aevum

Any recommendations on a hybrid amp or a transformer coupled tube amp? i think the Lyr 2 is a hybrid amp. Also, i have seen impedance adapters that add like 75 ohms of resistance that you can buy with the MP-301, are those a valid consideration or do they ruin the sound? ok, nice so the WA6 is...- Rex Aevum

I think I read about that, it the DIY one right? What’s the sound on that, cause I’m looking for a more warm sound. Leaning towards the MP-301.- Rex Aevum

Have you listened to the LCD-X? Cause that's what I have and I'm curious how do the 2 and 3 measure up against it? Is it noticeably different or are the differences minute? From what I understand the bass is a bit boosted and the highs are a bit calmer but how true is that?- Rex Aevum

Yeah, i know when it comes to sound its more of a different sound than a better sound and it depends on what you are looking for so asking if it's better for the money is probably a useless question.- Rex Aevum
