Been a long time since I've been on here, has anyone made a closed back mod or tried covering the cups?

Man it's been ages! No not yet atleast, I had put audio on hold for a VERY long time until now. Currently thinking of buying an M1570C.

I was just thinking, what if you drill a bass port into the cups? Was thinking of grabbing a pair used since I do lack a planar with me and want that big planar sound! I don't seem to see any ports on the cups which would be counter intuitive since (what I'm assuming) planars do need a good...

Been awhile since I've been on headfi. What's the distortion like on these drivers, a dual driver setup would be just perfect for these haha.

Honestly I'm even more confused because from the spec sheet it looks pretty easy to drive. Something like the xduoo xd-05 B or Fiio A5 should drive it right just fine I'm guessing.

Jesus, 6 watts? Out of curiosity did it make any difference feeding it the power it would normally need compared to say 1-6 watts?

Been looking at the M1570 (closed) and was wondering if the Qudelix 5k could drive these to good volumes or even loud if possible.

Tho I did check the specs of the driver and they're not actually 90mm buh the same 106mm that the m1060 has, plus the drivers and the M1060 (the open back and not the closed version) have the same 50 ohms. Would be a cool project driver, wonder if they'd fit in the beyerdynamic dtxxx cups :)
