Ya . I use the rec kit all the time . Mostly for audience mics at show where I am capturing multitrack feeds from the console. I dont have the DPA mics just the record cradle. DPA are wonderful sounding mics so I'm sure they sound superb.

I am thrilled with Plussound exo6 weave gold plated silver . Compared to my other silver and copper cables the gold gives just a bit more flesh to the sound while softening the edges just a touch. Perfect balance and symbiosis with the TIA drivers .

Powered with Chord Hugo 2 the highs are damn near perfect. Right in line with my $20k reference speakers and hi res capable car stereo . Source matters in this case .

The 64 audio A18T is sublime . Perfect reference signature with an open high end that is unique amongst all other iems due to their TIA tec for the highs . I listened to everything save the SE6. It could be the ultimate ciem. I would think if you are in the market at this level it is a must...

It’s metal flake. 64 audio suggested it for my Celtic knot. I might have burnished it a bit before clear coating or what ever they do.

I use the AK320 as source for my Hugo 2 and Hugo 2 TT. I could just use the AK but once I heard the sound of the Hugo powering the A18tzar there was no going back to full portable. I just stack the two and feed the Hugo 2 a usb feed via Furutec usb cable . I throw in in my shoulder bag and I’m off.

If anyone is wondering if the 64 audio scales well with better amplification they should try the Chord Hugo 2 and Hugo 2tt as amp/dac just to hear the increased resolution provided by the superior amp stages in the Hugo’s. It’s that good .

Had good luck powering the xc with the AK 380 amp. If you have the dough I would stretch to the Chord Hugo 2. A little bigger than you want but much more robust better power stage .
