New, Burson Conductor 3 Reference: Dual 9038 DAC, 7.5Wpc Head Amp, Preamp, Changeable Opamps
Sorry, no idea about the AKGs, they were OEMs. I guess they are less sensitive than Senns, because the noise floor is much lower but it is still noticeable. My question is rather why some much cheaper amps don't have any hissing, while the C3-Ref has it? Is it because of the excessive power or...- Mij-Van

New, Burson Conductor 3 Reference: Dual 9038 DAC, 7.5Wpc Head Amp, Preamp, Changeable Opamps
I have noticed mild background noise with certain high sensitivity headphones. It is more like a faint hiss, which you forget once you start listening to the music. But I agree, it is present.- Mij-Van

New, Burson Playmate 9038 DAC, 2Wpc HeadAmp, Preamp, Changeable opamps.
Have you switched the input? If yes, many Android phones struggle with the bit-perfect output to an external dac. You would need a dedicated music app, something like UAPP, which can bypass the Android drivers.- Mij-Van

New, Burson Playmate 9038 DAC, 2Wpc HeadAmp, Preamp, Changeable opamps.
Thanks a lot. If I understand it right, ordering the V6s specifically to upgrade the basic Playmate, would need the copper shield as well. I am just wondering, is the copper shield preinstalled by default in V6 and Everest versions of the Playmate?- Mij-Van

New, Burson Playmate 9038 DAC, 2Wpc HeadAmp, Preamp, Changeable opamps.
According to your opinion, is the background noise a product of the V6 op-amps, or is it in the circuit, meaning the V6s are only amplifying this noise more than other op-amps? Also, is it possible to measure the voltage swing of the Playmate?- Mij-Van

This is a review of Burson Audio high end V6 op-amps. After reading a lot about different op-amps, I was very curious to try and test V6 Vivids and V6 Classics by Australian company Burson Audio.
