PureSound ClarityOne Review
hey I just bought a pair of these and I'm greatly enjoying them so far! however I'm thinking of ordering a set of comply foam tips to improve the treble harshness as well as the wearing-comfort. I'm just wondering, is the T400 the proper size for these? As PureSound isnt listed on the Comply...- el_matt0

help with loose sennheiser cable connections (HD25)
Hey guys, been awhile since I've been on the forums but I've got a custom sennheiser cable which I built awhile back that I'm experiencing a loose connection issue with. The connectors I used/purchased appear to be ever so marginally too thin to achieve a snug/secure fit into the HD-25 earcups...- el_matt0

BC official meet. IC.
@ 92135011, whats going on with this? Is it still on the 26th or was that just people speculating? Haven't heard anything "official" from you for quite awhile, and with the date now approaching insanely quickly, I think me as well as possibly others might starting to be getting the sense that...- el_matt0

Help!
hmm. well the only thing I could guess is that there might be some in line resistance built in, removing it would "make it louder". but FWIW I dont know of many stock cables that come pre-attenuated like that.- el_matt0

Help!
yes, the color is enamel. tin your iron with solder, touch it to the tip of the exposed ends of each wire to tin them. this will melt back the enamel and expose a conductive surface (you can verify this with your DMM if you wish to do so). Then just simply touch the 2 "tinned" and prepared wire...- el_matt0

suggestions on a good portable cd-player / discman
I tried searching but couldn't come up with much, although Im terrible with the search function so thats probably not really too indicative of anything in particular :P. I'm looking to purchase a portable CD player and I need some suggestions. I will most likely be using it unamped I think, so...- el_matt0

x2, jeff is the man when it comes to ordering up kits. Super friendly - great to communicate with, and best of all has no problems customizing kits/orders to peoples certain specifications. If you dont want a chassis with the kit, simply say so and its not a problem. Ive actually done the math...- el_matt0

oh ya, and @ ombuttsman: No reason to be shy man! Thats a fantastic build there, especially if its one of your first! Work quality looks stellar, and as was mentioned above, good job on fitting it all in there - I definitely had NO hopes of getting 9V#2 in there when I built my first cmoy...- el_matt0

Roll Call: Who's building, built, or thinking of building a beta22?
@ fault, just out of curiosity what amps / etc DIY stuff have you built in past, just for a point of reference? I'd just like to know so I can give you my own advice, because about a year or so ago I was in exactly the same position as you, fairly new to DIY, and that was the stage that I had...- el_matt0

is it possible to easily use LEDs to indicate for a selector switch
Thanks everyone, and sorry for being unclear at times - I know everyone was just trying to help me out in understanding what I'm trying to do here ! Again, thanks to everyone who helped me out, it paid off seeing as I'm all squared up and I'm 99% sure I think I know what I'm doing now .- el_matt0

is it possible to easily use LEDs to indicate for a selector switch
fair enough douglas, but i think by all means im qualified for something a little more than simply purchasing a wallwart and sticking it in there, let alone batteries - i wouldnt dream of using something so short term and simplified. I could easily put together a sigma11 or tread or whatever...- el_matt0

is it possible to easily use LEDs to indicate for a selector switch
thanks AMB. I will be using an e22, so thats very helpful of you (I'm guessing you got my order :P!). I'm a total newb when it comes to interpreting schematics, but I'm going to pour over these and figure it out - looks like even I should be able to figure these basic ones out! is it possible to easily use LEDs to indicate for a selector switch
its ok navyblue, my brain pretty much felt like that throughout this entire thread yesterday until several helpful members clarified things for me. Anyhow, just to cap things off, yes, I wont be switching the grounds since it seems largely un-needed. As such, I will be ordering the 3 pole, 4...- el_matt0

is it possible to easily use LEDs to indicate for a selector switch
just to quickly "confirm" that I've learned my lesson here today. Can someone just verify I've selected the correct rotary selector for my needs? Goldpoint Selector Switches From that page, I'd want the 3 pole (3P), 4 position one, right? And if I only wanted 3 inputs, I could limit it to 3...- el_matt0

is it possible to easily use LEDs to indicate for a selector switch
Finally I got it. So forget about the whole deck notion until it actually comes up with a specific make / model. (at which point I'll likely plague you all with some more questions ). Thanks everyone so much for the explanations and also for being patient.- el_matt0
