Agreed. The Atrium Closed is amazing. Once upon a time, I tinkered with EQ. But, I found that I usually desired a modest bass shelf. For some odd reason, EQ hasn't been touched at all lately... >:)

Can't compare to any Tangents, but what I can say is that the WHAMMY is seriously legit. When built with top-notch components, it belongs in the "high-end" tier.

Swapped to the Caldera Ultra Perf lambs on my VO recently. There's just something so right about this combo, especially for classical / soundtracks.

Yeah, I didn’t really enjoy the AO for Jazz and Classical as much, tbh — the Verite (Open or Closed) absolutely nail those genres better than either of the Atriums (to my ears.) That said, I did find that the AO do vocals with acoustic accompaniment superbly well — better than any headphones...

Criminally underrated OTL amp. It’s a shame that it’s no longer available. Was truly a giant killer for its price.
