So I just started using Apple Music. I’m finding that when I use iPhone and otg, my dac matches whatever output the song is. If I use Bluetooth I get 44.1. If I use android, tablet or old android phone and Apple Music , I get 192 on dac, bt or otg. Amazon music shows 192 no matter what I use...

Funny thing is it did the same thing when using iPhone 12 with otg kit. I never use the 5k that way anyway, but I was just curious.

So, when I hook my 5k up to be used as a dac with my phone, it automatically overrides to bt, ldac, but still. I have priority set to wired dac, but it always goes to bt. If I turn bt off on phone, then it works, but I can’t fiddle with the app that way…

Yea, tried rebooting device, removing and reinstalling app. No other music players on device. Not worth the mental fatigue of contacting them…😂 I really can’t tell the difference between the two resolutions, was just curious.

I have it set to highest quality for both downloading and streaming.

I have the xd05 plus, and it sounds great, so I’d assume the basic would sound good too, just a little less power.

They run very well together. I couldn’t be happier with this setup.

I find the sq stays the same. But the volume does decrease a bit, but nothing major, one or two clicks of volume up fixes it. I find the gains with the peq well worth it.

In my iPhone 12, everything shows 192 no matter what Amazon hd says it is playing using the lightning port.

It is very clean and detailed. That may come off as shrill. It’ll take time for your ears to adjust. The 6xx is a great pairing with the L30.

It’s not a guarantee that you will hurt the amp, just a likely possibility. If it is still working and playing fine, then I’d say you probably did no damage.

You need a lightning otg cable.

it is interference from your phone. anytime i stack my phone on mine i get noise. move the phone away and the noise goes away.
