Modhouse Audio Argon - T50RP MK2/3 & T60RP
IMHO, you can make a case for the stock T60RP setting a benchmark for the law of diminishing returns. It's a great headphone for the money. The Argon is not that much more expensive and if you feel that its improvements justify the additional cost then it must also be considered an incredible...- Jimmyblues1959

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Frank builds nice equipment. I have an old dac from AVA circa 2008 that's very nice sounding. Back in the early 1990's I purchased an AVA Fet valve 300i hybrid amplifier that was very pleasant to listen to driving a pair of 15 ohm LS3/5's. The Ultravalve is fairly rare. I think they actually...- Jimmyblues1959

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
I still have my late Dad's Dynakit Stereo 70 that he built around 1961. Really nice sounding amplifier. It needs a full restoration which I may have done in the future. I did some mild DIY stuff a few decades back (changing out capacitors, resistors etc.) but did not like dealing with the...- Jimmyblues1959

Beautiful receiver! My late Brother had an SX750 as part of his first real audio system back in the late 1970's. I have it now as part of my vintage collection of gear. BTW nice workshop. 👍- Jimmyblues1959

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
That's a beautiful 771! I remember back in the summer of 1975 when my Dad took me to Bryce Audio in Manhattan to purchase my first audio system, as a 16th Birthday gift from my parents. I was overwhelmed by all of the lit up receivers, with their bright colorful lighting and shiny chrome...- Jimmyblues1959

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
My late Dad had a Rek-O-Cut turntable for over 30 years. It had this massive tone arm and the base of the turntable was installed into a precut wooden shelf in his den. Back in the 1960's Dad also had a Fairchild 412 turntable with the histerisis motor. It was a beautiful looking turntable...- Jimmyblues1959

The good old days when I could actually lift a receiver that heavy. lol In the midst of restoring an old SYSTEMDEK IIX. I still have a NOS Jelco 370 oil damped tonearm that I will also get around to installing on it one of these days. Enjoy your project! 👍- Jimmyblues1959

GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier
I understand that. But, unlike a tube amplifier, which fans can actually cool down a bit, the class A solid state amplifiers will just work harder to operate at the temperature they are designed to work at. I learned this when using my old Classe Audio DR3 VHC power amplifier from the late...- Jimmyblues1959

GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier
My H10 has the stock op amps and it runs cool to the touch. For class A bias solid state amplifiers that are designed to run hot, if you use a cooling fan on them, the amp will just work harder to operate at the temperature that it was designed to run at.- Jimmyblues1959

New MEIER AUDIO headphone amp "CORDA CLASSIC"
Yes, I really like the sound of the Classic. It's nothing flashy, but you can listen to it for hours on end without becoming fatigued. Maybe the Classic and Daccord need to be recapped? I guess they're at least a decade old or more so if they have had a lot of use you might want to send them...- Jimmyblues1959

New MEIER AUDIO headphone amp "CORDA CLASSIC"
Hi Dominick! I bought your Meier Audio Classic from you a few years ago. It's a great sounding HEADPHONE amplifier. Hagerman Audio Labs "Tuba"
Sorry to hear about this. Jim builds excellent audio products that are very reasonably priced for the sound quality you get. Monoprice Monolith Liquid Spark - By Alex Cavalli
Looks like Monoprice is getting ready to discontinue the Liquid Spark. They did the same thing awhile back with the Liquid Platinum. Huge discounts and then no more inventory.
