Probably, but I'm in the does it really matter camp. I could talk about batteries but suffice to say there will be a R4 ii long before anyone's R4 batteries, charged to 100%, lose 20% of their original capacity so why cripple it to 80% now? Just don't leave it charged to 100% too long.

For those people wanting to charge the battery to 80% I have a simple solution. Take the battery out and replace it with a battery that has 80% of the capacity of the original then its guaranteed to always charge to 80%.

I have no issues either, one of the more comfortable IEMs for me and my ears can be fussy, I thought I'd have to stick with custom's but this works great for me.

It would but it will never happen. Those two don't have support in any apps. There is a tiny chance for Qobuz or Tidal though which I'd settle for. Personally I can't see any major new features, I'd happily eat my hat if it happens. :)

Plenty of portable devices are more than good enough to drive most full size headphones. Would you consider the Focal Stellia a full-size headphone, it certainly has a full-size price and can even be driven from a smartphone, assuming it has a headphone socket of course. :wink:

I've never tried it before as I only recently switched to Apple from Android but I just did and yes charging and playback at the same time is possible.

What are you talking about, I use mine as a portable device all the time. Stick an SD card in Poly and its a perfectly usable non-streaming DAP with separate screen, your phone. I once got into a discussion with someone here on Head-Fi that wouldn't accept that the Poly/Mojo combo is a DAP...

You guys must have awesome ears, to hear a difference, I can't find any measurements for the DC Elite but I expect it to be flat +/- 0.2dB. I found a frequency response graph for the R6 (not 2nd Gen), as expected, without EQ its basically flat from 0Hz to 20kHz. Perhaps I'm a flat-source'r. :)

A loaded question as your signature implies you believe a battery source is better as you use one yourself. My take on this no if the designer has done a good job then no the difference between powering with battery or clean mains electricity (the DNO stuff most people have in their houses)...

You make a good point, this one isn't really suitable for low impedance IEMs, luckily there are plenty of 20-30 ohm IEM options. I wonder how many people do actually use IEMs with DAPs though? I'd imagine more people than use DAPs with IEMs than full size headphones but I'm not so sure based...
