Yeah but as long as the cables are functional they don’t change the sound... so, no, unless they are microphonic, too long/short, or aren’t pretty enough there’s no real reason to invest in expensive cables for the sake of matching expensive equipment with expensive equipment.- intronoise

Sounds like you got a defective unit. It happens. Not sure what bearing that has on an evaluation of the stack’s performance.- intronoise

In my opinion, not really, past the fact that higher resolution headphones may pick up hiss and noise more readily and/or need more power.- intronoise

Basically once you have a sufficiently powerful and sufficiently quiet (low distortion, low noise) amp with whatever features/inputs/outputs you require or want, there is not much difference in sound quality.- intronoise

I have this exact setup running in balanced. The Magnius powers the Arya with ease. I haven't tried other amps and am personally not a believer in significant differences between sufficiently powerful (and sufficiently quiet) amps, but they sound good, so take from that what you will lol.- intronoise

Just got some Blessing 2's and just wanted to say damn I am blown away. There's a lot of chatter about cheaper IEMs competing with TOTL, but these actually do. I think these are my going to be my daily's for quite a while.- intronoise

You definitely might find something more in line with your preference in the Audeze line-up (would also recommend trying something of Focals), but I would recommend sitting with the headphones for a week or so if you can. I don't believe in burn-in periods, but I do know at least brain burn-in...- intronoise

A few questions about the Shure KSE1200s
Hello, I'm very interested in the Shure KSE1200s but had a few questions about it and IEMs in general. First: do the 1200's leak much sound? Second: is it fine to use my phone as a source (w/ Shure's included amp)? Third: I'm also interested in other IEMs like the 64audio U12t, is my phone...- intronoise

New Member Introductions thread
Hello, I've been into headphones for quite a while now but never really got into Head-Fi. Excited to be part of discussions around the best this headphone world has to offer! Current setup: Hifiman Arya, Focal Elex + Schiit Magnius and Modius IEMs: Audeze iSINE 20 I also got a little room...- intronoise

Looking for ( found )"end game" headphones in 2K ± price range.
HD800S has better lateral soundstage imo, but Arya has better depth, great for classical. HD800S beats the Arya on detail, but the Arya has an arguably better overall presentation.- intronoise

Focal Clear headphones
Here's a helpful post for cleaning Focal Clear pads: https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/gruzyi/focal_owners_how_do_you_clean_your_microfiber_ear/ I had the Clears for a while and my only point of caution would be that cleaning it can sometimes mess with the microfibre texture. It can...- intronoise
