Yes, I also love this combination. I find the Mullard tube just gives it that little edge otherwise the sound is too technically perfect:)- Steranko

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
New was originally HK$25K now about HK$20K in DMA HK The Darwin Architecture is something very unique for RS8. Exactly, it's hard to improve further on this since there is so much you can tweak on this to tune to your own taste. I just want to say this DAP is one of the best releases of DAPs in...- Steranko

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
I did a search on RS8 and now the prices have dropped I got one. I am impressed by the sound for this price. The RS8 certainly makes it sound more musical with the Turbo mode on and high gain. I like this a lot and think it's great value. I ran some low grade IEMs on it and it made it certainly...- Steranko

Love the sound of Mullard tubes. Telefunken tubes sounds too technically sterile sometimes needs a change. 🥳 You got the Ti? How does it compare with the Storm, may I ask?- Steranko

Luxury & Precision E7: Impressions and Discussions
The thing I missed was testing my own songs on it. I had bought my SD card but couldn’t get it to work on it. So next time I will bring a few different formatted SD cards to make sure. Also bring a different set of IEMs. 👍. Saying this the LP6 range just has this fuller sound which I still love...- Steranko

Luxury & Precision E7: Impressions and Discussions
Great and fair review, I only heard it once and not enough time to test it fully. First impressions is it is very small and portable and packs a punch for such a small unit. I already have the TI99 which is hard for me to buy another wonderful DAP. It’s is thinner than the TI99 as well. LP...- Steranko

I’ve been using the P6Pro TI99 on the road for some time now since the launch, I have to say the battery life is just amazing. I swear I can get over 20 hours on this thing if not more. The battery bar just stays there near 100% even after 3 hours. Have I got a faulty machine. 😜- Steranko

I could not agree more. I had a number of my friends suddenly dying in the last few years. Non of them made it over 55. That’s when I realized how fragile life is. I started to not hold back and trying to live my life to the fullest and try never to complain about life hence I started to do my...- Steranko

Thanks for the comparison. I've also read Twister6's review. It's weird the price of R2R RS8 is considerably more expensive to the Delta-sigma RS8ii. Therefore I am wondering why such a difference. It would be good to see how RS8ii compares with SP3000. I do like the RS8ii price though.- Steranko

I’ve tried the R8 once in the shops but really wanted to take one home to put it through my tests. I must say first impressions are very good. Do you have other DAPs to compare this to? What do you like about it?- Steranko

The SQ on the this set up is already next to non so I have to put in a Mullard tube into the Origa to just balance it out and give is a slightly warmer and thicker sound. I had the rare telefunken tube which just sounds crazy and will bring any lower class DAP back up a level when paired with...- Steranko

It's just a great portable DAP. The amazing thing is the great sound in such a small light package and the battery life is insane. This is the DAP that I bring everywhere with me on the road.- Steranko

TBH, I don't even look at the like count proportion. No one gives me any respect here, if I say things which people don't agree on, I get blasted on like everyone else. To me it's a hobby, it's not personal. You sound like a newbie here. BTW I have nothing against what you say, I just reply...- Steranko
