Bass has better control and there is no loss of bass at all. I’ve tried all three types of Axios and they all have the same amount of bass, some people prefer the copper or hybrid Axios because of the apparent “warmth” of Copper, but with the full silver i haven’t noticed any loss of bass.

Hi. My listening impressions of Hifiman Arya v2 are that my Hifiman HE400SE sound 99% as good. In other words, the Arya sound is marginally better than the HE400SE sound, and i got HE400SE for $800 less.

Okay. yeah there’s definitely something i don’t miss about the diffuse field tuning element, but i think the hd800 sounded quite good even with my favorite genre; rap. I just EQ on spotify on my phone. I didn’t know that about the shelving filter with some EQ.

My Arya v2 respond quite well to EQ also. My question is do you EQ with software or hardware like knobs on a device? I never EQ’ed my hd800 i thought they were perfect

i guess ur saying the HDVA600 would be good enough for the Arya SE? I think so, it seems to power my Arya V2 very fine, usually im at max volume tho. (which is not that bad)

Haha ok. Something tells me a hdva600 might be a little better than a louder $100 schiit, even though it’s not as powerful. But i guess it adds up, an amp meant to drive dynamic driver hd800 may not be loud enough for a planar. Honestly think that’s more of a shortcoming for the headphoness...

Yeah but it’s meant only for the Z1R. This is shown by the fact it only does one output at a time. Josh Valour said it’s a combination like nothing else. If you buy the Z1R, get the Ta. and vice versa. You won’t have “headroom” when turning up the volume with other headphones.

Perhaps the TAZH1ES would fix Z1R for you. I consider the Z1R a $4,000 headphone because it requires the TAZH1ES to really shine. Maybe. They have a special synergy together

The Arya barely sound better than my $100 hifiman he400se, so the Ananda should be a better deal. Don’t get me wrong the Arya are more refined but not much of a difference
