Has anyone found a tempered glass screen protector that fits this device?

Just a good rule of thumb, charging lithium battery up to 100 percent is not great as that does stress the battery the most. It's better to go down to let's say 30 and charge up to 80 percent. This regime is the fastest to charge and will minimize cycle damage.
