A bit OT, but how did the new DAC affect the sound of the Valkyria? The Valkyria already has that "warm" sound as part of its signature.

Still early days. Required break-in is, at least, 220 hours. Will report later.

Fully agree. A (MAJOR) part of such a business would be customer support. I would like to receive some notice from Ryan and know when to expect my order and should he expect further delays. That's the bare minimum to ask.

I’m not close by to NY. I was referring to it as a possible chance to listen head to head.

I think only time and personal impressions will tell. Also, will the SR-1b still hold its own compared to the Magna and even the Immanis. I assume a direct comparison will be available only at NY (the soonest).

My question about the Magna still applies. It may have some advantages over the Immanis. But we’ll know only when these will be compared head to head on an optimal setup.

It would be interesting to compare the Immanis to the Magna, as the price difference is not small. Maybe the less complex build of 2 ribbons will have its own “charm”. Also, a question to @Aleksandar R. , is the total footprint of the ribbons in the Magna bigger than the one on the SR-1b?

Ryan actually sent an email (~week ago) indicating the current delay in timelines. It stated that Nov 3rd orders are expected to be ready by first week of Feb, while Nov 10th orders will be ready by the 3rd week of Feb and Nov 24th orders will probably slip into March. You can do the math for...

Those already "invested" in Raal, are able to purchase the Immanis for "only" €6470 EUR. Maybe on the next batch. Still waiting for my Star8 to try out with the SR1b (still in the "honeymoon" period with it :)).

Having 3 ribbon playing 3 different frequencies is exactly the kind of changes that will make the implementation more complex and will possibly loose the wonderful coherency the ribbons have.
