Very good review of an IEM I surely can't afford... Nice explanation of the TIA drivers and acoustic chambers

Excellent review, and I particularly like the last paragraph about the relative value of the IEM. Very well put!

Interestingly, Bob at Trinity Audio here in the UK is in pre-production with an IEM called the Hunter (to cost around £500 at full price).
I listened to a demo version at London CanJam this year.

He is using a non-crossover based solution to get the best out of his BA's, which he described as 'vector chambers'. It does sound like he may have independently been thinking along exactly the same lines as 64 Audio!
It is a hybrid with dual coil dynamic drivers and BA's.

However, the sound (which was quite special) is completely different to that which you describe above; nothing stood out, but not in a bad way! They were just so effortless and natural, you didn't even realise.. it just kind of crept up on you :D

The Tia sounds truly remarkable. I can only hope Jude, Ethan or someone can persuade 64 Audio to take a trip to London for the next CanJam.
Or become rich in the meantime :p
