Terrific review, I would love to hear one of these units someday. Build quality looks top notch and your description of how dramatically it improves dynamics, resolution & soundstage doesn't surprise me in the least, since IEMs scale with better amplification far more than people realise.

I'm slightly surprised it sounds better with the PSU connected as often that option is only used for hard to drive cans, while much easier stuff benefits from the reduction of radiation among other things. But if it works it works!
Did you get to test it on the 18t? Could be a great alternative to a Topping NX7 amp or a DAC/Amp for me. A100TB only though to keep it portable (enough).

Batteries aren't interchangeable for either, they use a non removable battery pack. They both charge independently, one via USB C, the other via dedicated wallwart. You can power the A100TB via the PSU, or alone.
In the manual it explains that powering on the A100TB while the PSU is plugged in and on can damage the A100TB. Probably some sort of power overload, so either turn on the PSU and leave the amp off, or disconnect the PSU and just use the amp.

The Burson is dual, you can only use a pair of dual Op Amps in the A100TB.

@Cognacbrown i unfortunately don't have the Aroma anymore to compare to my new Tsuranagi. But by memory I would say the Brise is more transparent, more finessed and less raw than the powerhouse Aroma sound. I heard more of the amp with A100TB, with Tsuranagi I hear more of the IEMs and source. Background is blacker with Brise. The A100TB is stunning sounding, so is the Brise. They are ultimately both phenomenal and you can't go wrong with either.
