this new Audio Technica headphone looks like Shure SRH1840.... maybe they copied its design from Shure?

I would not say so. It's somewhat similar rather to Sennheiser HD 800 S, but has very high-tech and unique feel, with magnesium and alcantara used. Packaging / suitcase supplied is also amazing.
