In what setup have you compared the players if I may ask?
Have you listened to other R2R DAPs? I'm asking because you're using the term "diffuseness" while for each and every R2R DAP that I have listened to I noted something that (by the lack of a better word) I called "veiled". I wonder if we're referring to the same thing, AND if this is a recurring theme for R2R DAPs. Being in love with R2R I think they make up for this completely, but it would be interesting to read your thoughts on this should you do more comparisons.

I found a way to highlight the weakness of M6U recently: using an album called Scores by 2CELLOS. This album has a lot of cellos (obviously) on top of a large orchestra, with its own cello section. The lower end where all the cellos exist is where M6U falls apart: bass hits are not (as) punchy, separation and note definition is weaker than higher end DAPs like the P6 Pro. It would be interesting to see the comparison with N8II.
