Have you heard the Fiil T1pro? Wondering how different the sound signature is?

No I haven't heard it, only seen the comments saying it's balanced with less bass than the Earfuns.

I have to criticize the review.
Sound being with heavily emphasized sloppy and loose bass. Reminding of budget-level iems from back in the day(budget level iems of now are more advanced compared to ones from back in the day). Dip in volume level in one bud. And thats 8/10?
Passive isolation is average at best, active noise cancelling does very poorly outdoors. ANC amplifying higher frequency sounds. And yet you rate it with a 7/10?
In connectivity you describe having dropouts, second bud being unable to connect after using a single one for some time, ambient mode being barely useable, registering wrong functions and somehow thats an 8/10 score?
No mention of battery life of the earphones themselves.
It really looks like you feel obliged to the company somehow, thus the high scores. Just to many problems for such high score. At least youre being honest and mention the problems, but it might mislead someone that just checks the scores and doesnt read the whole review. Just my 2 cents.

Hi, thanks for the constructive feedback.
  • The overall rating takes in to consideration the price point and overall value of it. For a 60$ product, these sit well at 8.5/10 overall, but not above that due to the aforementioned shortcomings.
  • The 8/10 final rating is considering the intended tuning. There are some occasions where the bass is sloppy but generally few and far.
  • Regarding isolation, since I started listening to true wireless, I've had to down my expectations because generally in-ear TWS don't isolate as well as wired IEMs. Average would be 6.5/10. Despite the shortcomings the ANC otherwise more often complements the passive isolation.
  • The channel imbalance was an issue with the mesh filter. Out of the box these sounded balanced to me.
  • Regarding battery life, I mentioned I use them up to 6 hours a day through multiple charges (usually between 2-4 hours per listening session).
