HP01 was suggested to me as a good starter amp when I first got into Head-Fi. Never pulled the trigger, but it's still on my watch list. Now I'm intrigued by the 02. Thanks for a good review.

Wondering if it could drive high impedance headphones. Tx!

Certainly looks like it would take AA batteries, but from the pictures it looks like it says AAA
