Hey, I'm just enquiring about the etymotics to the reviewwes here, to your sibilance test track. the guitar part is good.

But when the singer pronounces 'Said', 'First Time', 'She', to, Instead, 'Days Spent', its too sharp/ piercing. is it expected?

Hey, I found the sibilance on the pronounciation of the words to be non-existent with the ER3XR.
If you hear sibilance using the ER3XR, then it's possible that its not fitted properly or the filters are not fitted.

@Killcomic Thanks a lot for the quick reply. When the singer singing said, first time, days spent and all, it was too harsh or piercing to hear. I just contacted my seller for warranty claim. Thanks for helping out :)

I do have another query. First when I used normally, I didn't find any issues, then I used it with TempoTec Sonata HD Pro. After that, when connected directly, I experienced this. does that mean, the DAC would have affected the earphones in any way?

I find it unlikely that it would be the cause.
Have you tried changing the filters?

@Killcomic No, I've just sent it back to the seller for Warranty Claim. It's just hardly a month since my pusrchase. That's why I don't wanna take any chances.

Good call! You should not be hearing any harshness or sibilance on the highs.

I listened the same track you've mentioned as your sibilance checking track- Slow Down By The Castle on my Moondrop Aria, I was looking for such a track to check sibilance, and I'm very happy that Arias did not disappoint.
Thanks 😊👍🏻
