Considering entering into world of bluetooth dac/amp.

Is there a sound quality improvement using my sub-$50 chifi IEMs with BTR3K versus plugging IEM directly into my smartphone (S10+ Exynos)?

@benandfaith Compared to my LG Q70 there is a noticeable improvement with my budget iems, mostly in just the general refinement of the sound it outputs. It a little smoother and less edgy through the BTR3K. The S10 is supposed to have a pretty good output so I'm not sure how much of a difference there would be.

Nice review, but I'm confused. I have the BTR3 at home, (just upgraded to the BTR5) and I am pretty sure it only has 3.5 output, not 2.5.... Are there different versions of the BTR3, or is my memory just shot?

Nevermind, just read the answer below. Did not realize a 'k' version existed.

@szore No problem! With this new K version they made a number of enhancements over the previous one.
