Thanks for your review. I have ordered a FiiO LC-RC cable for my FH7 to enhance mids body and tame the treble glare. The FH7 has the same issue with the stock cable like the FH5s...

Let me know how that worked out for you. I just looked up that cable that comes with the FH7. It is the exact cable that was included on both the FD5 and the FH5s which was using a 4 cored version. This LC-RC should be a nice improvement.

I've received the LC-RC cable and tested it with the FH7. I have used the 2.5 mm balanced tip. As compared to the silver FiiO LC-2.5D cable, treble extension is significantly decreased and also resolution and soundstage. Perhaps subbass is a bit better with the LC-RC. The LC-RC is not a good match with the FH7, perhaps with the stock cable is better, but the LC-2.5D is a much better buy for the FH7!

FH7 is using higher end BAs so it will have more effects for the sound tuning. Your probably used to using that stock cable on the FH7 for a while. Before you give up on the new cable. Try to listen to some more music with it. Once you get acclimated to the new cable it might sound better for you. I do know the stock monocrystalline silver plated cable is more resolving vs the LC-RC.

I don't own the FH7 so I have no idea how the LC-RC cable would affect the sound. But it seems consistent with how your describing the LC-RC. It was supposed to help balance out the sound of the FD3 and the FH5s so the purpose of the cable matches these two earphones. I appreciate you chiming in to let me know how it matches with the FH7..

How long does it take you to break in the LC-RC cable? I just receive it today and pair it with the M11 Plus Ltd in balance 2.5mm and my shure se535. The sound is not that impressive so far, a little dull and muddy. I am going to burn in for a while and see if it improve.

Hate to break it to you but from what I know about the Shure SE535. You seem to have gotten the wrong cables for them. It isnt that the cables are bad but the LC-RC does not accentuate trebles hence the reason why they were included for Fiios Pro models as their previous cables would accentuate the FH5s treble tuning.

That is what you need for the Shures. I would sell yuor LC-RC and get something like this instead. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...o.store_pc_groupList.8148356.2.224023f7wnsnFz Try a pure silver cable that does not cost much. These will enhance detail and give you better treble and tighten the bass end.

Thanks for the advice. I have a Linsoul LSC09 cable that sounds much better. Ordered the drop Linsoul Euphrosyne as well. It's coming and see how it compare to LSC09. I will probably use the LC-RC for my other IEM then... the discount combined with the changeable adapter too good of a deal to pass up.
